Why would the leafs trade for a dman when they have Percy, or 3 other guys they can call up from the Marlins? If they deal lupul it makes more sense to do so when he is healthy and it closers to trade deadline time.....a team ready to make a run and has cap relief would be an easier sell.....not a team like florida that is in year 2 or so of re-building.

I know Nonis has been in hard talks with the oilers....talks with the bluejackets as well.....I think there was a real possibility with Edmonton begore the Polak injury.....once he's healthy again, I wont be suprised to see Franson get dealt with Reimer and a couple bottom feeders like Ashton, Frattin, Mckegg etc.

I can understand them talking about Lupul.....but I also understand that putting "LEAFS" in the headline garners more hits. The trades that have happened already this year were never mentioned by any of these so called "insiders".

I have liked Franson's play this season. I wouldn't mind locking him up sometime later this year. And this is coming from a guy who wanted him dealt for a 3rd round pick at the draft. Edmonton wants Reimer, Franson and a lower tier player? I don't know id there is a trade between the CBJ and TOR.
