thats what you would like ? What about the oilers .... Those are awful
How would you feel about Simmonds for Arcobello and nikitin or maybe coburn B schenn for Arco and Shultz ??

Now we probably went too much the other way. If you need a C, VLC could be had. Maybe we do Coburn, VLC, and L. Schenn for Perron and Yakupov?

There are just so many things wrong... I feel bad for you guys.

I'm also convinced that Eakins' "SWARM!!!" defensive scheme is completely ineffective at an NHL level. It works in lesser leagues where the opposition doesn't have the hockey sense to react intelligently in a very short period of time, but NHLers don't panic. They find an outlet and suddenly 4 players are completely out of position.

Perron is right that the leadership of the team needs to address the issues, but I don't see Hall/Ferrence/whoever stepping up and saying "This isn't working. We need to try something else."

If Eakins can't adjust his game plan, then he needs to go. If MacT can't bring in defensive help then he needs to go, and if both Eakins and MacT need to be fired, then so does Kevin Lowe.

You should be able to build a contender around Hall, and RNH. It might cost you Perron, or Eberle, or Yakupov, some combination of them... but this roster needs some balance. Open up the market for these guys and play GMs off one another. There are other teams out there desperate to make changes right now too.

So which 1d or 1g is available? Which team would trade them for Eberle++ or Yak++?

You need to be a bit creative with it. Look at what Stevie Y did in Tampa. He found Bishop and Stralman, neither of whom were really top guys at the time. Stralman's obviously a 2D playing in Hedman's spot while he's injured, but Bishop went from being a #3 to a Vezina contender.

Maybe you need to take a shot with someone like Ramo, or Reimer, or better yet throw an offer out for a young promising kid like Tokarski, or Scott Darling/Anti Raanta.

Just because it hasn't worked out with Fasth/Scrivens doesn't mean that the strategy was wrong.
