In an NHL where Tyler Bozak is a 1st line centre and Mike Richards is a 4th line centre, I have no idea what "top centre" means.

Top 20 probably. Krejci would be top-40 or so. But this is a situation where the sum is greater than the individual pieces. With the holes the Oilers have (much like the Flyers), trading a top-20 player for a collection of young top-40/50 pieces and some picks may be the better deal. Not saying it would, but it's nothing to scoff at.

OEL and Hall are both good young players. Great dman and great forward.

Its funny though cause I guarantee Oils wouldn't trade Hall for OEL 1 for 1 and guarantee Yotes wouldn't trade OEL for Hall 1 for 1.

I am a huge OEL fan and think hes one of the better all around dmen in the league

I think OEL is a better player, especially since top-end defenders are harder to get than top-end forwards.

That said, you're right about the Oilers because Hall seems to be (from the outside) the "face" of the team. He's their cornerstone. It's the same way the Penguins wouldn't trade Crosby for Stamkos, Hedman, and 8 first rounders, because they've hitched themselves to that horse, and they need to stick with him even if it's a bad idea in a vacuum.

I don't think Arizona (come on, it's Phoenix, always will be) does that deal. Yakupov is still an enigma, and I think they'd get better offers.

Why would the Bruins make that trade? Come on, at least look at it from both sides. They have a great 1-2 punch down the middle with him and Bergeron. They'd be better off just trading Subban to another team for a winger if they want a Perron type so badly.
