Crosby, Toews, Rask, Weber, Doughty, Keith, Hedman, Price, Subban.

Will any of those happen? Nope, just like Hall being traded.

Top 20 probably. Krejci would be top-40 or so. But this is a situation where the sum is greater than the individual pieces. With the holes the Oilers have (much like the Flyers), trading a top-20 player for a collection of young top-40/50 pieces and some picks may be the better deal. Not saying it would, but it's nothing to scoff at.

Agree its nothing to scoff at, but the suggestion its an egregious loss on the bruins part is foolhardy in my opinion. This trade is very close, and by all means possible, but its something as an oiler fan i would have to think about. it fills a couple holes but creates some more.

its a move i would be more interested in looking at, at the end of the year to see how our roster shakes out.

If OEL was playing in a bigger hockey market he'd be getting some hate for his play so for this year and last. Still a damn good d-man, but he should be playing better with his skill set.

I would push my Grandmother (who turns 86 today) down the stairs to make that deal.

The only close to "untouchable" on Edmonton is Hall. The rest are very good players at best. Still, not like they're gonna give players away for the heck of it. That's the Flyers' job.

Why would the Bruins make that trade? Come on, at least look at it from both sides. They have a great 1-2 punch down the middle with him and Bergeron. They'd be better off just trading Subban to another team for a winger if they want a Perron type so badly.

ya agreed as an oilers fan i laughed when reading that because if an oilers fan had proposed it we would get laughed up and down (rightfully so) by bruins fans. that trade is exactly what the oilers need though, even if its impractical
