What if the oilers make a huge trade in the next 4 days, bloated? Is it still going to be bullpoop that the oilers happen to announce the firing of Chabot first? Actually second, because as I said the first thing they did was give Eakins a public vote of confidence. - Morris
He's not interested in facts Morris. You're wasting your talents. |

Why wouldn't they just wait until the draft to make a move for a center? If they get that 1st overall pick, they get mcdavid and potentially one of the best players in the NHL in a few years. If they get the 2nd, 3rd or 4th overall pick then you could dangle that as trade bait for a solid #2 center. Right now they should be focused on getting a top 4 dman |

They weren't as bad as they looked. Most of us knew they would turn it around and be pretty good this year. Sedins just had an off year under a horrible coach. |

Can't believe Eakins still has a job. His systems are obviously not working.
They might have worked in the AHL, but not here and not with this team.
His pressers preaching a learning process are a veil of incompetence. He has lost this core, and a actual proven NHL coach is needed.
Sorry guys, but after watching this team go from bad to worse over the past 2 seasons, time to move on. - moondawg
I think it's a message trying to be sent like with Randy Carlyle, saying we're not sacking the coach every year. But yeah, he's certainly had a rough start to being an NHL coach. |

If you want a good piece at C or D, Eberle's the most valuable "expendable option" that'll get you something. I have no idea what Jultz's value is seen as around the league, but I'd probably move him too if you think his defensive lapses will never go away. I think there's a good player there but maybe he's stuck in Del Zotto City and will never escape to Yandleville. |

By this logic, we only troll when we are good.
If so, whats the deal with Toronto and Oilers fans?

just leave Gordon out of it (compensate otherwise somehow), and I'd strongly consider - TheNugeIsHuge
Canes would either need a depth center or a defensive prospect that can actually play. Would probably be willing to toss in something to soften the blow of losing Gordon. |

He's been horrible. His defensive system is mind boggling. His forwards can't score, and he is slowly turning the team into perennial losers, its what they know. Any other GM would have fired Eakins by now...but MacT comes out and gives him a vote of confidence.
I am shocked. |

Hehehe. Seriously though, Canucks fans have quieted down since 2011. There are really only about 20 - 30 posters here on Hockeybuzz, and a few of em are trolls, but they often just poke the bear. It's all in good fun. |

At some point it has to be on the players though. Losing that bad (although Chicago) is.on the players, the same way it's on the Leafs players losing 6-2 and 9-2 to buffalo and Arizona respectively. And I, as most Leafs fans, hate Randy. |
