Mctavish is a genius. Offering Perron for a top line center. Wish I thought of that. - Just5
There you go again. Assuming Dreger knows what he's talking about. Rookie mistake. |

Kruger's system relied on a strong PP, which I agree isn't a recipe for long term success. However we still should have a decent PP but don't. Half the time our PP looks like more of a liability than an asset. - rathagor
Ramsay was supposed to fix that. Hasn't yet. It still sucks. |

He got fooled by Howsen into Nikitin
And Chabot wanted Fasth over Hiller
He made some good moves and some bad moves. Needs a good one right about now. - Iggysbff
That he truly does- cause on paper right now- he isnt looking safe... |

I thought Ramsay was brought in to fix the Defense? Which has looked a little better, mind you that isn't saying much. |

i guess you aren't a genius then - ChetManly
No, I'm not. Not even close. Offering a proven top pairing Dman in his prime for a 1st round pick. But I can see if people don't think this team can climb out of being a bottom 10 team, guess I wouldn't do it either.

Krugers powerplay was a result of using skilled players properly. His 5v5 failures were a result of poopty bottom 6 and defensive players a long with an extremely young core. Let Kruger continue to coach from where he left off, and make the same player changes and this team is fighting for a playoff spot, probably still on the outside looking in, but not (frank)ing bottom feeders.
What's the excuse for the PP under Eakins? He has the same skilled players to use with the addition of Perron as well. Why is it so bad? |

Last year I think it was partly due to a lack of a decent shooter. This is becuase we lost Potter. Now my understanding Nikitin is a shooter which still doesn't explain the problems. |

"In Edmonton’s 334 power play since Eakins became coach, the team has given up 16 goals against. That is one short-handed goal against for every 20.9 power plays.
In the three seasons before Eakins, when Tom Renney and/or Ralph Krueger ran the team, Edmonton had 735 power plays and gave up 11 power play goals in total, one short-handed goal against for every 66.8 power plays." |

Potter had 1 PPA in the lockout season under Kruger. He's not even playing in the NHL right now. |

Something to be said about Krueger- his soccer team is 2nd in the premere league... (frank)ing guy was successful everywhere he went... He did make strides with the Oilers- I just wish we kept Renney and Kreuger and not had bucky, smith and co at the time... actually I want Renney and Kreuger back now with this current team... |

Still having somebody who is a threat on the point is a benefit, who did we have last year? |

Firing Chabot is exactly what this team needed! I want to have a threesome with MacT and KLowe. If they are as knowledgeable about managing my bum as they are about managing a hockey team then I'm in for one hell of a great time! - Iggysbff |

Shorties are a problem without a doubt. Our pp should be better. Ramsay was supposed to fix it. The last few games we've been doing the stupid drop pass in the neutral zone. I (frank)ing hate it.

Not to mention he was actively sought out by our Canadian Olympic team. As well as Renney being picked up almost instantly by one of the worst run franchises in the league Detroit.... wait, what? |
