agreed for the most part, especially with the deficiencies that are apparent at many positions.

but the big one imo, is that hall/ebs etc were basically given no help or insulation and pushed into bottom feeding for 3- 4 years, and now that theyre given a marginally better roster on paper, it's
"k, well we told the fans 5 years, so .....go and start winning"

i think that some incredibly marginal stuff gets piled on eakins at this point. even pretty standard stuff that many coaches have employed that happened to not work out. hindsight is running rampant for so many decisions from the top down at this point.
but at the end of the day, one cant argue with results and they aint there.
if they make a coaching change, i hope its a huge systemic change to a defensive system and not just a change for the sake of it

Doesn't hurt but I think it has more to do with Capuano not playing the fourth line against other teams first lines and completely misusing his roster in ways I didn't think possible along with other ridiculously stupid coaching decisions. If he was still putting Matt Martin out against the getzlafs and crosbys of the league consistently we would still be on a losing streak. He was doing that. He's not anymore and we are winning. Shocking.

Yes, but, my 1st point still holds true that Islander fans and Rangers fans both agree that the Devils need to suck. Just like everyone who follows the NHL wants the Penguins to fail outside of Pittsburgh fans, yet each fan has other teams they want to fail.
