In all fairness to the guy, he does a lot of things well. That's not to say he's got a lot of value, but when he goes through stretches where he gets it clicking he's a really solid player. Just unfortunate for him he's been the epitome of inconsistent.

What you dont realize is that dman are going for a fortune Look at leddy and Boychuk. He is head and shoulders better then them. His stats have not really declined. Look at the numbers again. Have they gone down well so has the team. Playoff team to well worst scoring team in nhl history. How can you aspect him to put up points with this offense.

Trading for your first now is very far from guaranteed that you'll even have a decent shot at him. If it were half way through the season, or even better, the deadline, you'd be able to ask for a lot more.

He is only 24. it takes time for dman. I am not saying he will be chara but it is good example because he out played him when you compare them when they were same age. He is on very bad team and good be very good number one on a good team.
