myers, blues first, islanders first, islanders second and a prospect might be tempting for a team like the oilers - homiedclown
I don't see the Oilers wanting anymore picks.
IMO you would have to include Reinhart or Ristolainen to Myers + a prospect. At that point not sure it's worth it |

Would you trade the 2nd overall pick if a team offered that. If edmonton wanted our pick i'd ask for Hall+. Myers and two late picks isn't even close to that.
we may have enough picks or prospects but no team would (or should) give that pick up for anything less than what they could've gotten with that pick, a franchise player/game changer. |

the sabres have the assets though if a team would part with the pick
add another 5 picks in the top 50 for this years draft to go with everything in the pipeline, can only have so many players under contract
plus I am sure more picks will be added come deadline time |

You don't have to give up all that to get a player like Eberle, Myers would get you that. |

You're right. He doesn't need it. But it was obvious that it was his team last year too. |

Not sure about last year. I think we all knew eventually it was going to be his. This year he's shown he's ready.
Also, Ristolainen is an absolute stud. If Zadarov pans out to his potential, Darcy did a great job setting this team up for the future

It was last year. At first when Nolan took over and the team dynamic shifted I couldn't tell if it was Nolan's persona it seemed to shift toward or if it was that they were following Girgensons lead. When Girgs missed time with the injury, it showed me that it was his lead they were following. |

They're not just going to take it away from Gionta though. So it'll be a bit before we see it on Girgs. |

Notes from the Buffalo News:
"Josh Gorges returned to practice Tuesday. He hopes to play Friday or Saturday against Montreal, his former team."
"Ted Nolan says they may not recall a center with Cody McCormick out. Patrick Kaleta, a right winger, has practiced at center the for two days. Nolan also said it was likely centers Zemgus Girgensons and Cody Hodgson could take some double shifts."
"Offensive defenseman Jerome Leduc is playing right wing, according to the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle, because the team is short on forwards and long on D-men.
"I like it," he told the paper. "Being at forward, I'm in the lineup so I want to help the team win games. I try to be focused on what I can do." |

girgens is all out hustle on each shift, drury IMO was just a sound steady player
a combo of varada (the pest in him), barnaby (attitude) and mike foligno (point production) |

Sounds like ebay. Just becayse you put that price tag on something doesn't mean anyone is willing to pay that for it. |

Girgensons reminds me most of Peca. The main difference is he's bigger, so hopefully his style of play won't wear on his body quite as much. |

Point production had nothing to do with it. You don't have to light up the box score nightly to be a leader. |
