Not working hard enough - Jsaquella
Thats an average of a 14 point season... 8 players combined... 8 players who are routinely in the lineup.
I dont care how hard they work.. we lack skill and speed. Not just physical speed either. |

They played well against Minny and CLB. I thought they were bad vs Isles.
I think bringing back Raffl is fine, sooner the better.
He seems like one of the better skaters and possession guys.
Pretty excited seeing him and Laughts with Simmonds. - Marc D
Coming out 0-0 in regulation against a really good Islanders team coming off back to back victories against the Pens is definitely a small victory, we just didn't walk away with two points. Keeping John Tavares in check isn't playing well? We can give the easy response by saying Mason stole the game for us and he did but Coburn was also shadowed Tavares all evening, which for me was fun to watch. They just needed to cut down on the penalties and make sure they clear the zone. If you clear the zone when your suppose to, all those pressure situations the Islanders have, the Islanders do not look as dangerous as they did nearing the end of the game. |

The Isles dominated the game. The only reason Tavares & the Isles were held in check was Steve Mason. |

yeah. that is a tough choice.
do you leave them on one line and create an ultimate black hole.
or do you split them up and potentially risk dragging down 1/3 of two lines. |

In my opinion, VLC and Umberger should be exiled to Siberia...or Edmonton |

I don't think they lack skill. Flyers have become a more skilled team since adding Raffl, Bellemare, and recently Laughton. Flyers just have to shore up the 3 areas we talked about, and they're a solid team. They need a top defenseman and another playmaker. But regardless, this team has the players to make the playoffs.

I don't think Vinny is necessarily a black hole. I do think Umberger is though, at least right now.

I agree, but I think the even better option is to hide their sorry asses on the 4th line. Playing them together for 5 minutes each night is better than playing them for 10 each split up |

Put em both on line for and have the ultimate black hole out there for 5 minutes.
3 relevant lines and 1 horrendous one that plays 5 minutes is worth it compared to the alternative. |
