I just don't like moving a young guy, who has shown ability, because a coach who might not be long for the team, can't find a spot for him/doesn't want to give him a chance with guys who better fit his skills.

i actually managed to find a flyers fan who liked akeson last night at a local establishment! i was surprised.

was going well. then it eventually boiled down to well if you arent going to play him trade him. package him and vinny to winnepeg for evander kane.

That's the biggest thing, I really am not sure what he has. I think his ceiling is solid 3rd liner. But he's not going to be a guy like Laughton, Raffl or Bellemare who can step in as defensive line guys and be effective.

He has not played well this season, by any stretch. But the way he's been used is not suited to his strengths
