Is the game just on NBC today? I'm torn whether I should take the rest of the day off from work to go hime and watch the game. - MJL

The Flyers would have no problem moving Luke Schenn if they wanted to. May not get the return that they would like, but they could move him in my opinion. - MJL
I don't think there is much interest for Luke around the league.
What would they get back at this point, a mid round draft pick? |

looks like it's just NBC. Are you really willing to use your time off to spend the afternoon with Pierre? |

I think there would be plenty. Just not a big return. |

I think the only move that might be worth doing is getting rid of Umberger and Vinny's contract, but they will need to add an asset to make that happen.
I don't want to see Read go, but if they could get a 2nd round pick for Read and Umberger that could be a deal worth doing. It would be hard to replace Read, but it would be easier to replace Read than it would be to trade Umberger.
The same with Vinny, though I think Vinny still adds some value to the team.
Creating cap space by trading Umberger, Vinny, and maybe Luke Schenn and adding draft picks for the 2015 draft would bring some success to this season, even it they don't make it to the playoffs. - ManCity
The last thing they should do is add assets in order to get rid of these guys, especially picks. Hexy is trying to build something here and IMO you can't go about it like that. I'd rather they be bought out with dead money on the cap for years. |

I don't get annoyed by that. Half the time, I'm not even paying attention to what they say. |

Time to dump some under achievers. Rinaldo has to go. Jones has more of an offensive presence, and can do the same thing. In addition, Jones doesn't do dumb stuff on the ice. Coburn. Trade him to the Oilers for the rights to Belov, and some picks. Convince Belov to play, and keep building in the minors. Read. He signs a contract, and sits back. I had high expectations for him, but he just went flat. Baby Schenn. Get what you can for him. He looked good on G's line for a while, but then went flat as well. He just can't bring his "A" game every night. Grossman. I like how he hits, but he lacks speed. VL. He's unhappy, and doesn't like to play anything but first/second line center. Umberger. I liked his first visit with the Flyers, but he's on his down side now. The players above take up a lot of salary, so I don't know how easy it would be to get rid of some of them. But, those guys seem to be the major stand outs right now. Some other guys could use a kick in the pants, but at least they do try now, and again. Nolan would be an interesting addition to the fourth line. If he, Jones, and Vandelump or White could be on a line together, they would be able to make some teams think twice. Anyway. Thanks for reading. |

Only tweak I'd make is include B Schenn in the oiler trade for the rights to Grebeshkov |

Rinaldo has been nothing but solid all year. He's not the problem. Schenn is having a breakout season and is on pace for 28 goals and 30 assists. |

LOL. It's a back to back situation. Teams normally play the backup goaltender in one of those games. |

yeah. it definitely helps getting to ride with giroux and voracek, but schenn is quietly having a very nice year. |
