Nemesis and the other one were crap, but First Contact is my favorite of them all, including the reboot.

I put First Contact right behind ST: II as being a quality film that stands on it's own..
Other ones, not so much though the reboot is pretty enjoyable.

I really like the next gen TV show, and the original series movies. I could live without the rest, though everybody seems to love deep space 9.

I never got the DS9 love... I could never really get into it. My two favorites were the original series, and TNG. I grew up watching TNG, and Patrick Stewart is just a better captain than Shatner was ( ) so needless to say it's my favorite. All the others that they tried to clone after that (Enterprise, DS9, etc.) just fall short imo. Neither the casts nor the plot-lines did anything for me..

I really like Ferraro. Just tells what he sees, tells you when he hasn't seen enough

I won't rip MacDonald, because I don't think it is right when I know he just got back from an injury. I defended Downie last year and I see it as the same thing

But the identity for what they want to be is obvious: Two-way team that checks first. They want to play like St. Louis.

They just don't have the horses to play that way -- not enough talented depth to get a goal in a tight game, not enough checking ability to stop the opponent from scoring

I love all the incarnations. I felt the first few seasons of TNG, all the characters walked around with giant sticks up their butts. It was actually after Roddenberry died that the characters started acting more human, and less like robots with a few more feelings. I think they finally realized that Roddenberrys vision of a future utopia could never be fully realized as long as humans were actually acting like humans, and the show was much better for it.
