Again, it's not that he's not the obvious choice for captain. It's that I wish there was a more viable option. Like PSG said, I like the grizzled veteran type. Give me a Dustin Brown, Shea Weber, Jonathan Toews, etc. guy (not that they're easily acquired). But yes, given our options, he is the best choice. - jmatchett383
More blue collar, less ass grabber? Toews is about as grizzled as G. Now Chara, that's (frank)ing grizzled. |

Ferraro "Philly's a mess to me. They are just a mess. In the game against NYR they weren't even close."
Ferraro "Isn't it amazing? The Flyers of all teams I don't know what their identity is."
Ferraro "They have a bad mix on the blueline. They're really expensive and not good"
Ferraro "MacDonald who they got from the Isles and then signed him to that big deal. He was a healthy scratch this weekend"
Ferraro "If the Isles would have signed MacDonald, to the deal they offered him, they're probably wouldn't be in first place."
- Jsaquella
He went a touch overboard on AMac, but yeah, nothing Ferraro says here is wrong.

It's a simple formula:
(Heart + Skating)
----------------------- - Umberger = Win
60 minutes |

I love all the incarnations. I felt the first few seasons of TNG, all the characters walked around with giant sticks up their butts. It was actually after Roddenberry died that the characters started acting more human, and less like robots with a few more feelings. I think they finally realized that Roddenberrys vision of a future utopia could never be fully realized as long as humans were actually acting like humans, and the show was much better for it. - MBFlyerfan
Yeah.. that's one TV series where, looking back, I really enjoy the character progressions they made along the way. They went from a bunch of young zombies (except for Riker.. he was just a major toolbag) into an actual crew with feeling and emotion (80's style emotion).. |

Watching these games are like a trip to the dentists office. I'm working midnights, so I will be spared this west coast road trip. |

Umberger needs to be divided by VLC... Negative divided by a negative equals a postive right? |

i've missed the last 3 games. only heard about 10 minutes of the last poop show on the radio driving back from jackson hole on saturday. as soon as the rangers went up 3-2 in the 3rd, which was just a matter of time based on what i heard of the end of the 2nd period, i turned it off. game over. and the thing is, i really don't care much.
when they've gone south this quickly, and you can see how much work needs and it's going to take some time, it's hard to care. it just sucks the care right out of me. |
