I don't know what flattering thing anyone can say about the Flyers right now outside of jake G and Mason. I think people here forget what it's like to have a defenseman who can deliver a breakout pass without hammering it up the boards - PhillySportsGuy
I have completely forgot what thats like.... |

|
play Amac and Luke
Scratch Vinny
RJ and Rinaldo on the 4th
PEBs to the top nine at wing - Marc D
I would scratch AMac and Schenn and play CC and Schultz.
Up front, I would make like Coach Norman Dale from Hoosiers. I would scratch VLC, RJ, and Rinaldo. Play 2 forwards short. |

Trade for Anthony DeAngelo - jmatchett383
The local kid the Flyers could have drafted but was drafted one or two spots after Travis Sanheim? |

Solid? I can go with that. But they dont have any game changers, they dont even have what most would consider a #2 defensemen. - GOA88
What exactly is a #2 d-man (aside from playing opposite a #1)? |

Which one of Holmgren's albatrosses will come up on the old Wheel o healthy scratch tomorrow night?
1. Ronald MacDonald
2. Luke Sloth
3. Vinny Lecadavier.
Is their a coffin in the press box with RJ's name on it?
Exciting times, lots to look forward to. Tune in tomorrow night. - PLindbergh31
I would go with LeCadavier and Ronald MacDonald.as a scratch.... if they were able to get coffin in press box than I would swap Zombie with LeCadavier |

Clearly your opinion. They are all #3 or 4 D-men. They are playing like the Flyers D-men should be. I dont see any real difference in talent. - GOA88
Then you're not a very good talent evaluator because their defense is miles ahead of the flyers. They're also less expensive and younger as well |

A reliable two way d-man who is both very good at playing defense and producing offensively. |

Boychuk had a career high 23 pts before this season and hes 30 years old. But now he is considered to have offensive abilities. Im not buying it... He cant sustain this current stretch. |

That's exactly what I say. Berube, when being hired as head coach said EVERYONE will be held accountable... Lappy said the same... the sign says "you won't get time here..." ... But yet guys like Umberger and Vinny keep getting a roster spot each night, let alone more ice time than they should be.
Way to practice what you preach... But sitting Bellemere... that'll kick start the team and teach them a lesson to up the effort!! - WarriorHockey21
not surprising really. it's all just words. |

I thought they kept coffin on bench during home games . Don't know if they have a travel one. Berube just wraps on the lid when its time for RJ's shift |

I would say a true #2 defender is Girardi or Staal... McDonagh being the #1. Not Coburn because of default. |

He was used in a defensive role with Boston. If a guy like Girardi left NY and became a #1 option on the pp, he'd get 40 points per year |

There is really only one feasible way to get us out of this mess....
We need this top d-man!
- jak521
I can't see the picture (maybe the nose broke it?) but I see who it's referencing.
And some things you just don't joke about. He is one of them. |

Today is a new level of the grass is greener on the other side. We also want Evander Kane's 9 points in 17 games with a cap hit of 5.25 because he's young and 10 times the player any of our youth already is.

Maybe if we put Coburn on the PP he could do the same?? Girardi is a much better defenseman than Boychuk. |

There isn't much. The secondary scoring is non-existent, the defense is a group of guys with limited skills and inconsistent performance, the special teams are poor...things are not going well. A lot of folks questioned the trade and contraxct for MacDonald, Ferraro's comments are not out of left field |

I believe his suspensions were mentioned almost right after he was drafted. |

Girardi is better. I'm saying if he had more offensive opportunities he'd score more. Same with any player. That's why you can't always just look at points to determine a level offensive play. |

On the bright side, I believe they were team-induced suspensions, not league-induced. |

MacDonald isn't a guy I would have pushed GM's out of the way to sign. Speaking for myself, I think I would have waited until the season was over before negotiations. |

MacDonald has all the workings to be a true top 4 minute eating, puck moving, all situations d-man. He just needs to want it more. |
