I'm sure at some point down the road you'll be able to add a piece on defense when the Islanders are looking to unload a crappy defenseman to the Flyers for a few draft picks.

All jokes aside, I think (and have always thought) that MacDonald is somewhere in the range of a 4-6 defenseman. He was misused as an Islander and he appears to be misused as a Flyer. He should not be anywhere near 21 minutes or more a night.

He would be of use to a contending team that wanted to replace a bottom pairing guy. I don't think he's worth anywhere near what Hexy and Homer gave him.

That turd-donkey Larry Brooks posed a question today "what if AMac and Vanek took the offers that Snow gave them last season" and it's scary to think where the Isles might be if they did accept those contracts.

I'm not getting this fascination with Couturier. I have nothing against the kid but he's not even a 20 goal scorer. He shuts down Malkin, that's the excuse for keeping him? C'mon please. He did a good job on Malkin but he didn't shut him down. Beside, What good is he if the flyers cant even get to the playoffs? If I can get a legit number 1 defenseman, sorry Sean but your gone. Flyers have proven they can get centers, they haven't grown defenseman
