I could fix this team with a few fairly realistic moves. I can already feel the butthurt when I lay it out. More to come. - hereticpride

I still can't figure out why PEB is in the press box when this team needs speed and skill to compete and he has both...some of the choices are a bit boggling... |

Chipotle or Qdoba or both?
I've chosen choice C before. Would recommend, but at the same time, would not recommend. |

Reminds me: we need to exchange schedules -- or I need yours if you did receive mine via email back in October(?). - Flyskippy
We have no games in Jersey this season and our two games in Aston were a couple weeks ago. They were Varsity games and were totally not Flyskippy or M4 workable. One was at 5pm on a Thursday night and the other was Monday at 10pm.
When I saw yours I looked over ours and there was nothing remotely doable that wasn't a day trip. We have a game in the city early January at the Class of 23 Rink. That's about it. |

I've had a few isolated incidents but overall I just sit and cheer the team colour.
Once a kid cross checked my son under the chin and knocked him out in middle school hockey and I kinda lost it. I made a spectacle of myself in the stands. We eventually ended up playing with the kid in Tier II and a nicer kid and parents you'll never meet.
In a tournament in Pittsburgh a player took a two-hander right across my son's neck as he drove down the boards. Ref was right there and ignored it. Again I went a little ballistic as they helped my son off the ice. I got ejected. At some point I yelled at the ref (who was a little over weight) that if I threw a twinkie on the ice he wouldn't miss that. No one has ever let me forget that one.
Two seasons ago we were blowing out the Delaware Ducks and their players started running around late in the game. Taking shots after the whistle. I was keeping score as they paraded to the box. with a minute to go our coach took a time out before a 5 on 3 to tell our players not to do anything stupid. We scored and the Ducks coach was incensed. After, when he signed the score sheet he went off on me about our coach then threw the pen at me. That didn't go over well. Our coach had to pull me off the ice. It continued 15 minutes later when he bumped past me in the atrium and called me an @$$hole.
That same year, we played a team from NJ and one of their fathers went after a players brother for flipping him off after we scored a goal. I ended up in the middle of that.
Other than that and a few other minor things I've done pretty good. - mayorofangrytown

I guess it's really tough if it's your kid. I once got speared in the throat and my dad offered the ref a $50 if he'd call a penalty for us (why my dad had a $50, I don't know).
There was also an incident where my 15-16 year old team was playing in a men's league. Due to poor scheduling, we had 5 players and my 320-pound kickboxer friend playing against this team from Philly. Long story short, it ended up being 20 men versus 5 kids and my friend in an all-out brawl (we fared pretty well, given the circumstances). That's a whole different story in itself. But my dad contacted the comissioner and told him that if the entire team was not banned, he was coming to their next game with 50 guys with baseball bats and they were going to win. The team was suspended indefinitely at that point. |

Hell, I've done worse watching my friends play. I once challenged an entire team to fight me in the parking lot after a game from the stands. No one took my 145-pound self up on it. I also once fired a slap shot at a group of parents who were riding me for destroying one of the other team's players. |
