I'm a fairly big Coburn defender, but he had a couple of games after he came back form his injury where he was breathtakingly awful. - Feanor
Thrillingly horrendous
Awe-insipringly catastrophic

I didn't see Saturday's game, but Del Zotto must've been pretty (frank)ing bad to get the hook before every other defenseman except Streit - AllInForFlyers
I watched most of it and he didn't stand out as having a bad game.
I think they should just play 7 D and sit VdV. The guy is -7 in 115 pretty easy ES minutes, but Berube loves him for some reason. |

Here is my take on this problem. The team sucks. The system sucks. The coach sucks. The management sucks. What can we remove quickly ? The coach. Berube needs to go. Need new meet to throw to the lions and see where we are. If we are tanking by feb that change needs to happen and begin training camp with a new voice and system if that can't be had now. This mess isn't working. And I find it hard that 20 players suddenly forgot how to play hockey. |

He wasn't.
Streit and Grossmann were awful all weekend. Schultz's carriage has clearly turned back into a pumpkin. Coburn was still in his Delorean, revisiting '12-13.
The only other guy who didn't look like complete poop was Luke Schenn, who had himself a good game on Sat, by his standards. |

By his standards? He looked like a number one pairing dman on this team. And that's not good believe it or not. |

Irrelevant topic but I was thinking about current players that will make the HoF and here's what I got:
Definite: Jagr, Crosby, Ovechkin, Thornton, Chara, Brodeur, Iginla, St. Louis, Malkin
Probable: Datsyuk, Hossa, Lundqvist, Alfredsson, Toews
Possible: Sedins, Elias, Marleau, Lecavalier, Brad Richards, Heatley, Gonchar, Zetterberg, Spezza, E. Staal, Getzlaf, Perry, Kopitar, Bergeron, P. Kane, Luongo, Miller, Nash, Ribeiro, Weber, Keith, Kessel
Long shot: Doan, O. Jokinen, N. Backstrom, Dan Boyle, Morrow, Briere, Tanguay, Gaborik, Nabokov, Fleury, Vanek, Havlat, Timonen, Sharp
On track: Tavares, Stamkos, Doughty, Rask, Quick, Giroux, Subban, Price, Karlsson, Seguin, Parise, Suter
Others to consider for the future: Pietrangelo, Benn, Ekman-Larsson, Landeskog, MacKinnon, Hall, McDonagh, Duchene
I probably missed some guys but the main reason for this post is so I could get my thoughts down and maybe have some of you bounce your own around. - NickTheKid87
I don't think that Ovechkin, Thornton, and Malkin are locks. I'd put them as probables, although Ovechkin and Malkin have time to change that. I don't think Hossa ever makes it because he was never "that guy." He was always second fiddle or lower, whether it was on Ottawa (Alfredsson), Atlanta (Kovalchuk), Pittsburgh (Crosby, Malkin), Detroit (Datsyuk, Zetterberg), or Chicago (Toews, Kane).
If we're counting Pronger, then he's a definite for me. If Shea Weber ever gets the hardware that is annually stolen from him, he would be a probable. He's also got time on his side a bit.
Patrick Kane is probably inching closes to a definite, as he may be the most explosive player in hockey. If I need a goal late in the game, I may want the puck on his stick.
It's not a bad list, but there's a few too many "very good" players for my liking. Gaborik, Havlat, and Timonen are all guys that any team would have liked in their primes, but they were never dominant enough for the HHOF. |

Wait, some of you were actually surprised that Berube would combine a logical move like scratching Vinny with a WTF? one like scratching MDZ?
Fools - Jsaquella
Del Zotto was scratched for reacting too slowly to that fake cobra in the cooler. |

We would like to be impressed by Berube benching high priced veterans who had bad games.
But then he also benches Bellemare and now, apparently Del Zotto, so we have to assume he's just doing it at random. |
