Yes really.

There was no hurry to trade Hartnell. If he were still here, he'd still contribute to the offense both on the PP and even strength the same way he is for his crappy team now. Plus in doing so, uping his value for a trade more valuable to this team, instead of just being a throwaway deal.

He is a much better skater, he's just slower. There's a huge difference.

Hartnell has absolutely no agility or balance what so ever. Everyones entitled to their opinion obviously, but I don't miss him in the slightest. As bad as Umberger has been, Hartnell wouldn't be doing much better on this team. We're just not very good.

I think teams are gaining the zone with possession more often. Seems like the forecheck is pretty heavy as well. I don't recall too many times where he has the opportunity to move the puck cleanly.
