I agree to a certain extent. I think playing with a play maker and puck distributor would certainly help him. I saw a player that to me, isn't playing with enough intensity, has been guilty of not moving his feet too many times. And just isn't getting into the right areas of the ice. I don't expect him to be a puck pressure player, because I don't think he has that in him anymore - MJL

He waives his NMC to get traded. I guess I'm confused if a NMC still stands after a trade or not. - hereticpride
Technically, a movement clause is voided when a player is traded. However, a player can make having his movement clause remaining intact with the team he's being traded to, as a condition for accepting the trade.

Ah ok, in this case Vinny would let it go so he can get waived and be on his merry way to signing with whoever he wants. Does it skate the line of cap circumvention? Maybe. I think all parties could sell it off as an honest trade, he gets waived in training camp in favor of someone younger yadda yadda yadda, free agent. |

Some of it is him, because he preaches work first, second and third
But I still believe that the GM has to act decisively when they sense guys aren't buying in
I think that's what happening in Calgary -- the Flames know that Bob Hartley's gonna work them, and they know that the combo of Trevelying and Burke are watching them like hawks, to see who is not

If the League found out that Lecavalier, the Flyers, and the team they traded him to, all got together and cooked up this scheme, so that the Flyers could get out of the deal. The other team gets some kind of compensation. Or why else would they do it. So Lecavalier could become a free agent. Looking at Cap circumvention, and forfeit of draft picks, heavy fines, etc.

Well no one would have reason to drop that info, now would they?
Just an idea. Hopefully they just find someone to take him or he hangs em up sooner rather than later. Barring a miracle I don't see how he willingly plays another year here. |

He feels he can still play, and I'm sure he expects to get back in the lineup.

Among 116 forwards with at least 300 minutes of ice time this year, Sean Couturier has the worst zone start percentage of any. |

Exactly -- I'll bet money that the reason he wants to play another season is to "go out on his own terms." I have little doubt that he thinks he's still a player and that the Flyers just haven't supported him
We'll find out, one way or the other. But one thing I do know is that players are always the last to realize when they're done |

I wouldn't call it the worst, I'd call it the hardest. Highest off zone % might be the worst, or at least the easiest. |
