Reasonable deal and they get a vet to help with rebuild. Kind of a Nolan player. Solid defensivly. - J35Bacher
I dunno about Grigorenko, tho.... not the quickest guy, nor the hardest worker, nor the most attentive to detail. Berube would staple him to the bench, forever.
(would rather deal Read to WPG for rights to Burmi and a pick) |

Buffalo likely wouldn't. Also, the Sabres mismanaged his ELC so that he's up for a new contract next year despite being scratched for half a season, so you won't be getting as big of a discount as you may want to. Lastly, his 8 points in 43 games so far isn't exactly wowing me. I know he's young, but he's been unable to show much success at the NHL or AHL level after dominating (more or less) juniors. - jmatchett383

I have to admit my reaction to that goal was to laugh. literally just laugh. they find every which way to lose a hockey game.
in my fantasy world they get the #1 pick and draft McDavid, buy out Umberger and have Vinny retire. |

Should be Grossmann. He was atrocious last night. - Jsaquella

Pee Cup on 12/09 Flyers vs Columbus. I'll be on the edge of my seat - Just5
I'll be at the home game two days after. Got the tickets as a birthday gift from my wife who doesn't follow the team very closely. |

'WE NEED TO GET HIM IN THE NHL IMMEDIATELY!!!"
(25 games later)
"Man, he wasn't ready. Oh well, let's just chalk it up as a learning experience and send him back to juniors."
(1 year later)
"Alright, he's got some NHL experience under his belt, and he really stood out in juniors. Suit him up."
(18 games later)
"DAMMIT! He's still not ready. Well, okay, take another year off the ELC and send him back to juniors."

Thats not bad. If someone paid me millions to watch all the flyers games in club box seats I just might take them up on that. - Just5
I agree - he's not retiring. He's not going to leave 10.5 mil sitting on the table after this season even if he is getting paid by another team. He's more likely to get hurt and go on LTIR or force us to buy him out than he is to retire and that's his right. |

Thankfully, unlike the NBA, if we finish dead last we can't pick lower than 2. I'd be fine with Eichel.

Hextall will take care of it.
"Vinny, thanks for coming in. I've taken the liberty of locking the door."
"Why lock the door?"
"Vinny, we need to have a chat. It's about that leg you've mysteriously broken if you don't announce your immediate retirement." |

"We played a positive game," Coburn said. "It’s better than getting [bleep]-kicked. We’ve got some things to build on."
Ummmmmmm no
"I think we’re all tired of the moral victories," Mason said. "The team played a good game. But when you don’t win, it’s not good enough. That’s enough of the moral victories. Everybody’s frustrated, everybody’s ticked off. We’ve got to go out and start actually winning hockey games."
ummmmm yes

Oh, and Vinny, on your way out tell RJ I want to see him next. |
