The Blues are too good for Brodeur to have anything less than a .500 record in his short time in St. Louis.

Dan Bylsma needs to go to a team that struggles to attract fans. He makes regular season hockey exciting and will attract players and fans.

Big 2 problems with him are simple:

1. If you have young players, especially young fringe players with potential, enjoy watching them get left out of the line up. He used to be a player and wants older vets like he was to get an extra year or two in the line up. He is very loyal towards them. Apparently it divided the locker room against the younger guys and vets during Bylsma's last year in Pittsburgh.

2. He can't and won't get it done during the playoffs. He misuses guys but his main problem is his refusal to change his grand scheme. He uses his system no matter how easily the other team figures it out. In Philly 2012, they knew what to expect and crushed us early won the series largely because of their advantage of us in the first 2 games or so.

I think Philly and San Jose can do better. Bylsma would be good in Edmonton for a few years to get them back on track. Problem with that would be uncertainty over Yakupov's future if he became coach.

Well considering one of his bonuses is $10k for every point he earns the team I think he should be properly motivated.

There really isn't anything wrong with the Flyers. They just need to try harder.

I don't know if "being bad" is something you can fix by trying harder.

Good move IMO

Just hope Ells isnt hurt too badly and Marty can mentor Jake and get a few games.

I think this is more about mentoring Jake than it is about marty playing.

The blues and their fans know who the goalie of the future is and its Jake Allen.

I would be surprised if Marty is with the blues come playoff time

Marty's like most top end goalies...he's a terrible mentor. If that's what St. Louis is hoping for they're going to be very disappointed.

Marty isn't with the Blues for the long haul, he's a fill-in until Elliott comes back. Why does every writer seem to think he's a replacement? Elliott has done nothing but prove himself since the Blues picked him up, including two stellar postseason appearances. Goaltending has not been an issue for the Blues for, at least, the past four seasons.
