How many deep playoff pushes did the Habs make with him as their number one center?
And btw, he was a far better player than Desharnais. And I mean by at least a country mile. - blarneylad
What? They reached the 2nd round twice, including the year he had cancer.
The said logic is that if a clueless organization has to rely on a decent 2nd center for its first line, let's (frank)ing hate the center and praise the hell out of a GM who's able to trade 4th liners for fringe NHL defensemen and give 4.1M a year to one of those.
Koivu was indeed a better player than Desharnais. But the miscast is on the organization. |

And that wasn't on Bergevin.
He hasn't been GM long enough to put his mark. And although I place blame on Desharnais for possibly being one of the worst 1st line centermen in the league, the other teams aren't clamoring to trade theirs. |

Is tangradi the best fw for a call up? Not exactly sure what he brings to an nhl lineup. - cburgess
You don't want kids like Hudon, Andrighetto and De la Rose to play 5 minutes a game on a 4th line. |

That was bad luck. Price was not the issue tonight, beside that dangerous pass that Parisé intercepted |

Like you hate Parenteau (which I'm no fan of either), I (frank)ing hate DD.
He is a 0.5 ppg first line center. Yet people are scratching their heads as to why this team can't score goals. Like (frank)ing hello!
Lets not complicate things. The anatomy of a successful NHL club aren't a (frank)ing mystery like the meaning of life. You need a top line center. Period. Look at the oilers they are a complete mess. They built a team around a LW (obviously their issues are much deeper than that).
But as long as DD is even on the Habs' roster they will never be a serious contender. Enough is enough. He is one of the biggest problems on this team. His career high numbers come from a season where the Habs finished last in the East.
Go (frank) all of yourselves that fail to admit he is problem #1. - blarneylad
Problem #1 is that the Habs have only one first line player, Pacioretty. I don't understand how you can blame Desharnais nor Therrien for that. |

Therrien needs to go. Desharnais needs to go. Eller is a third line center. Pacioretty is overated.
Bournival isn't a NHL caliber player. Raphael Diaz for Weise was a steal. Bergevin is a great GM.
I hate Therrien, he is ruining the youth. He overweighs certain skills compared to others. He wants guys to play all around games when they are offensive players etc. Don't draw conclusions. - blarneylad
Who is he ruining exactly? |
