i'd like to see Eller and Galchenyuk together, maybe with Parenteau.
actually i'd like to see any lineup that doesn't include David Desharnais as the feature centre.

Sure. all of this. Why not?

To be honest, Prust was mainly the weakest link on that line and the offensive zone puck possession died often when he just coughed up the puck
- stinger67

Honest, but not correct. Not so bad.

So they're bigger, AND more competitive, but they're "not yet ready"? What's the holdup?

i don't think it matters with this defence. i know everyone is crapping all over the forwards but it's hard to generate offence with such an old, slow defence in today's NHL. this D is real head scratcher.

I was there the time the media thought Kyle Brodziak was made out to be the next big thing.

Most of the Pens fans aren't making an issue of it but a couple are whining for a Stanton suspension, because Hornquist got hurt.

Have you noticed that fewer and fewer people are reading your posts. I can tell you why. I bleed orange and blue I was 8 years old when a man from my home town of Sudbury, Ontario named Al Arbour became the coach of the NYI. I was an immediate fan and I still am. I have seen the good, the great, the bad and the horrible. I still have a fisherman's jersey. I still cheer for them and do my best to stay positive. I was a hockeybuzz season ticket holder but I stopped because of you. I honestly think you hate the Islanders and can't be happy for their success. They are one point out of first place in the NHL with a game in hand and yet you are still looking for what "will" go wrong as opposed to how great it is that things are going so well. The team has a balanced attack; it has a legitimate #1 goalie and depth on defense that is the envy of the league. Be happy for the team, for the fans, for the organization and for yourself if you truly are an Islanders fan. This group has been beat up by everybody for far too long. This group has a chance to be proud; to raise their heads high; and tell everybody WE ARE BACK! BE AFRAID! WE WANT OUR CUP BACK!!!
