If Berube plays Emery and they lose, he's an idiot for playing Emery, and should've played Mason. If he plays Mason, he's an idiot, should be playing Emery in a back to back. If they lost, he's an idiot, because Mason was tired. Rinse and repeat. - MJL
We at not happy unless we are biching about something all the time! |

Is that record because the goalies were tired? Was playing the goalies back to back the reason why team's lost games? Tons of variables involved. No reason why Mason should be tired. - MJL
No reason, apart from having played a full 60 minutes just last night.
And I wouldn't have criticized Berube if Emery played poorly. I'd criticize the GM who signed him to be the backup instead of going after Greiss or Montoya. Hell, even Dubnyk is having a much better season as a backup than Emery. |

This team is a mess. When I looked at the blueline in the offseason/preseason I set my expectations low, figuring they were a bubble playoff team at best, but once you're in the show anything can happen. Then the injuries started decimating the blue line and I was resigned to not making the PO's... Then a few guys stepped up and the team looked like it had some life and a chance in a competitive division... Now this tailspin... Where's the prozac? |

When the team I root for is spending $4.2mm more than any other team in salary for a 28th place team, yeah, I'm going to be critical.
When the coach makes decisions I disagree with, that are easily backed up by stats and the eye test, I'm going to criticize him. When the players can't perform basic hockey skills on a consistent basis, I'm going to criticize them.
Don't like it? Too (frank)ing bad. |
