I also saw Claude Giroux's game winner in the SC finals in 2010. Bought a Giroux jersey solely based on that goal.

bingo. they throw these passes under no duress that take the play in a negative direction. you're left thinking what could have been. the passing on D esp, is very poor and it kills whatever possible flow.

It would help if the defenseman had some consistent support, and weren't under an avalanche of a forecheck in most games. Last night in the first period, when they were playing a structured team game, forwards were coming back deep, and there were open options, the defenseman didn't seem to have a problem moving the puck. I agree that execution and the breakout has been an issue for this team. But blaming it on the defense alone, is short sighted.

I used to go with my dad back then, I was a little tyke, those were fun times. I miss the old Spectrum and watching players without helmets. It may be better hockey in terms of skill today, but it was just so much more fun back then.
