Funny story, one of the last times I was back in Winnipeg, at a restaurant downtown (popular Jets spot, and one that Bogo frequents regularly). Middle of the meal he walks through the place with the owner just blastered out of his mind, knocked over a few chairs on his way out of the place to the Lounge side.

I don't think we need a puck mover. I think our biggest need is a shut down guy that could pretend to know where to be in the dzone.

Our biggest need isn't shut down IMO. We need a puck mover that can run a pp. We get zero offense from our d. Like last in the league. We need a guy that can skate and shoot. Yandle would be a great target but doubt it happens. I'd take Brian Campbell for the right price.

Bogo is not a guy we need. He's a shut down guy and would cost far more than he's worth. He's not a puck mover by anyone's stretch of the imagination.

I'd take Buf over Bogo any day.

It depends. I think there's a very effective player in Byfgulien. I like him a lot too.

But he'd need to be coached a little and adjust to finally being streamed permanently as a defenseman.

Bogo isn't a poor skater and he's got a hard shot. But you're right: Ideally we get a guy who can move better (although any port in the storm!)

We need a guy who makes simple decisions. I've heard enough of "great vision" for a lifetime. We need a guy with a sense of the moment. That kind of smarts.

I really like Brian Campbell too. Although I haven't seen a ton of Florida this year it looks like he's declining a bit though.

Quite possible that they just buy him out this summer if they can't get rid of him via trade.

Or maybe Larionov can get more money for Yakupov in the RFA negotiations if he convinces Nikitin to "bolt" to the KHL.
