Was I the only one hoping that Justin Shultz was actually injured and would be out for a while? - Ihatebrianburke
He needs to "slip" in the shower.
Maybe that's why Gadzic is up.... |

So - feeling good, yes...no?? - LeftCoaster
No... Jets may lose, that would equal no more streak. |

When the oilers keep waiting for conditions to be perfect to make a breakout, I always feel like things are going to blow up in their faces any second. |

Even when they are playing well, you know it's a matter of time before it collapses. |

Something you never think about. If we drafted our depth players they would be on much cheaper contracts. No 4.5 for Nikitin. |

I feel like I'm taking crazy pills, but I feel like getting that poised top pairing guy would prevent about 50% of the meltdowns.
If we only need one piece to be a middle of the pack team, but it's a ginormous piece, are we close or are we far? |

The only hope is that someday our bottom 6 and 4-6 dmen will feature some of the guys we've drafted in the last couple of years.
It's just hope though given their track record... |

Some good news.
I agree with you about that poised defenseman would fix half of the on ice issues with this team. |

The thing with Nikitin that I'm thinking increasingly, is that the guy misses 10 games a year with back problems.
Maybe he's just not healthy enough to be a solid NHL contributor... |

Guys like Pitlick look promising. Chase, Yakimov and a few other guys are trending to be bottom 6 imo. Defense is still a barren wasteland, we need to start hitting with guys like Musil and Simpson. |
