Well really if we could get Arco LD Gazdic Nikitin Aulie etc. Out of our lineup for some veteran guys who know how to play the game at the NHL level we would probably win a lot of the close games we have been in this year and the embarrassing losses wouldn't have been so embarrassing.

Aulie isn't really a negative player. Decent 7th option.

It comes down to Nikitin and Jultz and the lack of a proper 2C.

A couple of weeks ago I wouldn't agree with you but at this point I think it would be a good move. I really like Draisaitl and think he will develop into a really good center and could move ahead of RNH in the future but at this point get Draisaitl away from this mess. This is getting to be such a mess, at this point I am getting pretty close to blow it all up mode.

Funny to see how the oilers treated Schultz vs how the wild treated a similar smaller offensive-dman in Spurgeon.

It's insane. You take a young dman and play them in winnable minutes, and then increase their PP time based on how much they take those winnable minutes and win them. Or, you go the Oilers way and play him more at ES than arguably a player like him should ever be played in his career and feed him 3+ minutes of PP no matter what.

To put it in perspective, Schultz in his rookie year played more 5v5 than Spurgeon, a 5th year dman plays this year.
