Eager to see Pitlick going on the top line. He always seems to have a jump in his step. Maybe Eberle can feast on those easier matchups...

Keep the faith Jero - from 1987 to 1993, seven years inclusive, the Nordiques had several first round picks including some multiple picks in the same year. They won the Cup nine years after Sakic was drafted in 87.

1987 - 9th & 15th overall
1988 - 3rd & 5th overall
1989 - 1st overall
1990 - 1st overall
1991 - 1st overall
1992 - 4th overall
1993 - 10th & 14th overall

They definitely hit way more on the 2nd thru to the later rounds including Foote & Kamensky, and, they had the Lindros trade. Plus they had more competent people in charge, but things will get better.

Somehow I don't think that's gonna make you feel better??

Quick question- who fuct up Yakupov more- Kreuger by using him only to his strengths for 1 shortened season or Eakins who instilled 2 way play- but to date still doesnt know where to place him?? OR scouting in that Yakupov has no hockey iq and only can play offense??

I believe they changed the way waivers work. Once they clear they can be moved up and down without clearing again.

I think Jero said it yesterday, there's a constant combination that every Stanley Cup team for the past 20 years has had except Carolina, who were missing that #1 stud Dman. Having a poop load of skilled wingers wasn't one of them.

Did u catch the tsn quiz last night?

Johanson
Seguin
Hall
Tarasenko

Who would you build a team around.

Mackenzie said he didnt know so he contacted a bunch of GMs

He said Johanson was first just barely ahead of seguin

Who was well ahead of tarasenko. And that hall was last by a huge margin

Surprised me.

Ya I caught that too... Cant say that they are wrong either... Seguin has been unreal... But its apples to oranges- Seguin was developed properly whereas Hall was 'Oilered'

Ya I saw that, centres hold a lot more value because it's a harder position to play and every successful team has that one two punch down the middle.
