We could always use a bit more size and toughness though and Lucic provides that.
- nated81

addition by subtraction if Ebs is the locker room female dog.
Also, if Hall starts doing his own thing and Ferrence can't straighten him out....pretty sure Lucic can.

Already looks tougher to play against and that is with 1 change.

1 more move for a center and it doesn't look so bad.

I definitely agree with that. If we do pull a trade with Boston Lucic or Marchand have to be coming the other way unless something crazy like Chara or Hamilton can be had.

If we could pull a Chara and Lucic for Eberle, Klefbom and a 2016 1st I would be 4/4 erect.

Agreed. Schultz or one of Marincin or Klef should be enough to land a center in a package with picks I would think.

No surprise. Get the players straightened out first whatever this locker room issue is and then make a judgement on Eakins.

I'm sure they would rather have Petry than Klefbom, they have plenty of young d and they want a roster player. Would be sick though.

Yeah no need to dump him just so someone else can come in and lose games. If they make a change then it should be done in the offseason when there are more coaches available.

Honestly....I do t really care which or who goes at this point. Which brings me to my next thought. Who on the Oilers should most definately not be here in 2 yrs?

Nikitin
Ference
Arco
Yak
Schultz
Eberle
Purcell

There are others that can stay or go depending who else is here but those cock smokers need to be gone sooner or later.

I'm sure Fayne could play with Chara just fine.

Pretty sure Chara could make Fayne, Marincin, Klef all look like studs.

Obviously, I am not an insider or anything, but I wonder if Ebs, Hall and Schultz are the locker room female doges. Remove one or two, Ebs and Schultz, and maybe Hall changes his attitude and becomes the leader everyone expected him to be.

Yup agreed. I would love to dump Nikitin pronto for a pick.
Schultz I'd like to turn into either a different kind of defensman or center.
Ference doesn't bother me if he plays bottom minutes and retires here.

They would probably want Petry signed longer than till the end of the season though. However, it would be easier for Boston to convince him to sign an extension than it would be for Edmonton. Klefbom is still on an ELC and has more cheap years as an RFA.

im convinced of it. The way they were worshipped as heroes and saviours, and coddled, plus the losing...can't say I blame them.
Plus it seems like their team mates are getting sick of them. Maybe they are being babies. I think they're cliquey for sure.
