Sure. Although skinner with those concussions...
If we are looking at the draft though Lawson crouse could be a good option or Zacha
Edit: Part of the reason I really really wanted the ises pick last draft was because dal colle would have fit in perfectly from a positional standpoint. Really liked dal colle - MCGUIZZY
Agreed on the Isles pick due to the certainty of how bad they were last year with the uncertainty of what Snow would do for this year, which was a lot thinking he would need a big improvement to keep his job. |

I'm hoping that's via trade and not overall draft position - Sabresfan-365
Agreed but at this point who knows where the sabres end up and where those player mentioned end up as far as draft position |

I'm very confident neither will push top 4, once kylington kicks it up a notch those spots will be locked.
Can't see him over taking Barzal, Strome either. |

I could honestly see Dal colle having the biggest impact among the top 5 that were selected. Just my opinion though. He definitly has the look and feel of a big time goal scorer at the next level. |

Im sure you are right. I dont think Zacha or crouse would go that high. I was thinking more if the sabres slid back that far in the draft but again not likely. Hard to tell what the order will end up being at this point.
Also I really dont like the idea of taking a d-man that high. never have. So I really hope they are not in a position where they are forced to take one due to BPA. Thats just me though |

TBL has top-end forward talent, they can afford to be extremely patient with him. I see that as a luxury.
Drouin won't be a bust for another couple years, and I think he won't be a bust at all.
BTW, a similar situation played out in Stamkos' first year. |

I looked at the upcoming LW UFA group, and unless you are a big Nick Foligno fan, there's nothing striking in that group.
The RFA group, outside of the top 4, is nothing special either. Of the top 4, unless you hope to somehow poach Hagelin (underrated player) from the Rangers, you aren't getting Kuznetsov or Huberdeau.
Trade targets would be:
Valentin Zykov
Tomas Tatar
Teuvo Teravainen
Patrick Sharp (too old?)
Ryan O'Reilly (gulp)
Evander Kane (oh boy)
Of both groups, Hagelin would be the best one to go after but he is not a gamebreaker. |

He'd be at the top of my list, i don't think he's too old but i think he's got a NTC. |

That NHL ready talent better be as good as the projected player in that spot in the draft is supposed to be, otherwise, it would be a bad idea. |

Point taken but he has been a tin man since his final year at college. Many question his desire to play. |

Really depends on who. But if this draft is suppose to be deep I don't like it. The 2012 and 2013 drafts were deep and there were still great players available at the 15th spot. Mantha went around the in the 13 draft. |

Hodgson by far. I'm not a Foligno fan but he does some good....Hodgson is sucking it up pretty fierce - sbroads24
If/when Hodgson and Foligno decide to follow the lead of Ennis and some other guys and leave their sack out on the ice every shift they may turn into nice players. |

The NFL and NHL are two different animals. You cannot compare them.
Lets win a couple finish 10th and draft a guy who is ok and miss out on generational talents.
Are you ok with Just missing the playoffs again like we did under Darcy. That is where we are headed if we keep this up. |

At the top of the draft. |

Here is my take:
Look at our upcoming picks - 3 first rounds ( 2/3 picks could be studs)
Look at our prospects - Hockey News #1
Keepers on team now - Ennis, Girgs, Risto, Zadorov, (Myers if not traded for the young scorer we desperately need)
Needed - #1 Goalie and PP QB on D
Trade bait - Stafford, Stewart, Hodgson, and the 2-3 defensemen we signed over summer.
Next month is huge for TM and team to see what direction we go? |
