Ruff actually has a very similar style that Nolan does in that he's a motivator first and foremost (or at least tries to be). He's just more technically sound as well.

IMO Ruff is capable, but lacks a killer instinct. We always had problems putting teams away

To be fair, he's free to let his ad-hominems fly as well.

And Hatty.

True, but It gets really old and I felt like tossing in an editorial

I remember saying right after Ennis scored that OT goal in game five that if they didn't win Game 6, they were going to lose the series.

Is probably agree he's better than Nolan, but I wouldn't say by much.

There's nothing really on either guys résumé that sticks out as great.

Ken Hitchcock goes to a team and you know they will be a great defensive team.

Lavy goes somewhere and you know they will score more

Ruff does..... I'm not really sure

Teddy fits what we need right now ! Will we win a cup? No . He is doing his job getting an effort . TM the GM did not give him a lot to work with on purpose. I am more concerned with what is going on in Rochester . Cassidy looks like he has lost the team.

I'm not sure how long Ruff will last in Dallas if he doesn't pick it up in the 2nd half of the season. He has some talent there.

Despite having Griogrenko, Armia, McCabe and Pysyk, I don't think Rochester is a deep enough team to be great in the AHL

Plus their goaltending sucks too

He is free to offer his well thought out and well written opinions without being badgered even though you do not agree with them.

You take yourself far too seriously I am laughing at all this right now . Teddy is not a great coach . He is a place holder . We all agree on that . But giving him absolutely no credit is a little sad.

As does your hate filled commentary here. I am trying to lighten it up as this all far to serious for 1 am in in the morning.

I think Max is right in a sense. They should have completely cleaned house from the Ron Rolston debacle, and that included down in Rochester. Remember, Cassidy was on Rolston's staff in Rochester. I would have liked to see Murray go with his own guy in both Rochester and Buffalo. So far, he's done neither.

I bet through this year, maybe next season.

Ruff was Nills's #1 candidate I guess. I doubt he gives up too soon

Never know though, they should not be bottom 5

People dying of poverty, Ebola, suffering due to oppression, whatever reason is sad. Not giving Ted Nolan credit for whatever you want him to get credit for is far from sad. Now THAT is taking a hockey discussion on a hockey discussion board regarding someone's opinion not meshing with yours regarding a coach making million's of dollars far too seriously.

If they were playing poorly, he'd be blamed. They are playing well, he should be given credit where it's due

when they turn the corner in 2 years and make the coaching change, I hope Nolan gets a job upstairs (promoted instead of fired)

Hate filled? Almost every post you make attacks another person and has the word hate or "hatters" in it.

We were going to go yesterday, but decided against it and decided to drink on the beach one more day. Turned out to be the right call. Plus, we were on Anna Maria Island, which is about an hour drive away, and we needed to catch a flight early this morning.
