The Oilers are not making any changes, but the GM is "pissed off". They will stick with the status quo unless they can get a 2C below market price. That press conference was a joke. MacT is combative and standing behind his coach and roster.

That press conference was nothing more than a smokescreen. He's getting lowball offers because everyone knows he's in a position of desperation. Therefore, they set up a press conference to try to appear less desperate and to let GMs know he won't make rash moves. Basically, it was a bargaining chip to get better offers. Will it work? Time will tell.

K - I'll bite. I enjoyed some of it, but the new light saber made me shake my head and sigh. Anyone who has ever fought with a straight cross guard understands that it can severly hamper your speed with a weapon and was predominately used on larger, heavier, slower weapons. Does that sound like a light saber to you? You also usually bruise your wrists multiple times during a fight so tell me how smart it would be to cut your own hand off with a light saber? I would have been ok with it if the crossguard had been angled more towards the blade to allow for full wrist movement.
I just hope the directing is good. I'm tired of these amazing worlds/plots, and lackluster acting/directing in such a rich universe.

On behalf of Victor Hedman I am going to disagree. If anything having a d-man gain real experience without costing a team meaningful wins can be quite beneficial as when the time comes and the player takes the next step that experience proves invaluable.

Everything is relative and nothing is certain, but just b/c a d-man is 18 doesn't mean he shouldn't be in the NHL. However, the fans of said team need to understand that the young d-man is going to make mistakes. It is up to the player to learn from those mistakes
