Now we dont really. Id like to have an awesome winger for tavares but its not a neccesity imo and Strome wouldnt be in a package for another fwd and if he was there would be alot of unhappy people. Not happening kid is looking incredible. Im pretty confident theres someone on our team thats going to fit in on that line its just why would you mess with anything with the team winning? - Cptmjl
I think every one on here wants to see Lee on JT's line. But we can't break up that line |

Too many forwards actually. But it'd be nice to have someone better on the JT' line, not doing well at even strength. Gonna have to scratch Bailey or Grabner because we have too many forawards. Need to move one of em out. - chriscmc
Baileys days gotta be numbered there, too many rumors about him. That would free up 3 mil. |

Agreed. Thats the thing. Strome on his wing, Lee is a good choice, grabovski even would be worth a shot. Grabovski and strome are centers but they've been playing well on the wings. Just screwing with too much chemistry there. That kid line has been our best line for a while now. |

No we don't. Waive Conacher and then play Bailey and sit Grabner or vice versa. conacher is an anchor anyway. He's a reason we have too many forwards.
This season we don't have a guy who can play wing on first line. If I'm the Isles, I make a deal for Eberle or Kane or the like and put them on JT's wing w KO. But my deal sends no one from our second line. Brock Nelson, Ryan Strome and Anders Lee won't be moved. They make no money. We aren't taking on all that salary and sending someone who has a great future and makes nothing. And we aren't breaking up that line. I guarantee it. |

"I bet you would. Reinhart is a good prospect and I'd be happy to have him, however the Oilers need legit NHL players now. We need a top pairing defender and an upgrade in net, and another center would be awesome." -Dangles13
Then call Santa because you are looking for gifts.
You need those things NOW...? Well, you aren't going to get them until you get a competent front office and that starts with firing Kevin Lowe, your GM and your coach. Clean house up there. You got bats in that attic.
The Oilers have been in the lottery longer than the Isles have been and what do they have to show for it?
~A 2nd line center that needs to be back in the WHA and Yak has no one to play with
~No NHL dmen...legit ones this season anyway
~No NHL goalies.
Its great to want all these things, but it seems the Oilers have stocked up on young flashy skilled forwards and have no grit players (Matt Martin, Cal Clutterbuck).
Your D sucks.
Your G sucks.
And your grit sucks.
I don't say it to be mean or hateful. I put this all on your front office. Trading Eberle won't fill 2 of those holes. You'll fill one, but not 2. Certainly not from trading with the Isles. We are in no need to give away multiple good parts to get Eberle. We can wait and look elsewhere. - islander4cups
Not looking for gifts, I'm just stating what is needed. We have Gordon/Hendricks and Pinnizotto as the "wagon" line who are all grit. Perron and Pouliot are gritty top 6 forwards. We need leadership more than grit imo.
Our D sucks. Our goalies are abysmal. I don't know if firing the entire front office is the right thing. I guess we'll find out what Nicholson does when his investigation is done.
Firing Eakins doesn't need to happen until the offseason but I would like to find a better coach. |

He's got a nice shot and I think he'd rack up points with JT, could also add some grit and defense to the top line |

Clutterbuck can also pot 15 goals a season if he doesn't sidetracked by his beautiful duster. |

He's got 4 goals and 10 points in 18 games. Kulemin has more goals. Sorry, one decent year isn't making me think he's anything special. |

He's 23 with size and speed to burn. Winnipeg has had him playing with plugs while they cluster all their talent on one line. Kane has been playing with Scheifele this year, but Scheifele decided to take him out with a knee on knee, and he's just starting to feel comfortable now.
He reminds me of Okposo, both big guys who take some time to figure it out.

I love how Isles fans are already cocky about a team that has been a disgrace for years; CHILL. Snow w and/or the Hockey Gods will soon find a way to screw up your season. We're all waiting. - jackoc150
ALREADY COCKY??! We've waited 20+ years for a DECENT on ice product!! We've all been holding back, but I think it's far enough into the season that we can all sit here and say this is a good team. Tons of hockey left, but they're winning games on the road missing 3 dmen for God's sake. |

Kane's playing with perreault and frolik might have something to do with lack of points
Kulemin is with JT and KO and he hasn't been amazing up there |

Winnipeg would be asking for more than he's worth. I'd take Eberle over Kane and I'm not sure I'd deal Reinhart for Eberle.
