Stupid trade for Edmonton.
- ChetManly

If by edmonton you mean Islander. How is this stupid for edmonton Reinhart is one of the top D prospects not playing right now and hes a monster size player. 100% what edmonton needs.

Everybody watch the new Star Wars trailer yet?

Thoughts?

K - I'll bite. I enjoyed some of it, but the new light saber made me shake my head and sigh. Anyone who has ever fought with a straight cross guard understands that it can severly hamper your speed with a weapon and was predominately used on larger, heavier, slower weapons. Does that sound like a light saber to you? You also usually bruise your wrists multiple times during a fight so tell me how smart it would be to cut your own hand off with a light saber? I would have been ok with it if the crossguard had been angled more towards the blade to allow for full wrist movement.
I just hope the directing is good. I'm tired of these amazing worlds/plots, and lackluster acting/directing in such a rich universe.

I'm in no rush to move Reinhart, but Eberle is no scrub either. Isles are the one team that could afford to move a Reinhart with Pulock and other D prospects in the system.

The Islanders with Eberle would just be ridiculous. They are already deep as can be, with Michael Dal Colle not far off.

Eberle-Tavares-Okposo
Lee-Nelson-Strome
Kulemin-Nielsen-Grabovski
Grabner-Cizikas-Clutterbuck
Bailey-Martin

They already have arguably the deepest forward corps in the East; this would certainly be the deepest/best forward group of any team in the conference.

I dont think it matters. With the hype and expectation, no star wars fan is going to be satisfied. Doesnt matter who the director is, who the actors are, or how much money they spend. Going to be one of those films that most true fans will just have to take with a grain of salt and groan afterwards, like episode 1.

Im sure the entertainment value for those that are not so critical will be fantastic though.

Reinhart, pulock, czuczman, Mayfield, pelach, all good prospects. If Reinhart was moved for a top line winger under contract I’d be okay with it, but Eberle’s contract is also pretty high for a smallish winger. He’s also a right winger who would have to play the left side if he was with JT and KO, and I’m not sure how well he’d adapt to that. Also a little concerned with how poorly the oilers forwards play defense, JT and KO aren’t exactly two way players and adding another to that line means they’re either scoring or watching the puck passed around in our end.

Not sure about this. If the Oilers took Bailey then I might be more inclined to look at it.

I love how Isles fans are already cocky about a team that has been a disgrace for years; CHILL. Snow w and/or the Hockey Gods will soon find a way to screw up your season. We're all waiting.

we're 1/3 of the way through and a point out of 1st. we'd need a wild-like collapse to miss the playoffs and you're playing your way out of the mcdavid sweeps.

call us cocky if you want to, but based on the play on the ice, we have a reason to feel that way right now.

Isles need to take their time. No real need to make a deal now. I would still like to see Lee get a shot on the number #1 line.
