So you want him to pound the weight room during the season? Interesting to say the least.

Well, Tim Murray said the same thing when he sent him back. Reinhart worked with the training staff to plan some extra work during his time back in Kootenay.

OMG, did I just agree with Garth? Now I've got to go on a hyperbolic rant about the Legend of Ze.....no....no...n.. . ... .

I don't even have to read this blog and already know this has to have something to do with Stewart and or Stafford. Garth you have traded both of them 3 times in a week. Give it up.

Sorry that was classless . People lost their lives . I don't get upset about that stuff. Just showed total lack of class
What is funny is that even with that storm we would have more people in the arena than they do when their weather is beautiful.
Next time they have a bad hurricane that people lose their lives in . Do you think the fine folks from Buffalo will try to joke about it?

Yeah, that video was total ignorance...

I can't believe a professional organization would put together such a classless intro like that

Umm, we get snow in Buffalo ALL THE TIME. There are two things we are known for , snow and chicken wings. There was nothing wrong with the video, they weren't making fun of the actual storm and that people lost their lives, they were poking fun that we have crappy weather and they are lucky enough to have awesome weather. Grow up people. Cognitive distortions much?

It showed pictures from the storm, two weeks after it happened. And you don't think that was offensive?

What if the Sabres showed video of Miami getting hit by Hurricane Andrew immediately after it happened? By your argument, that'd be perfectly okay.

The video was ill-timed and in poor taste, no doubt, but come on Garth. Wishing for re-location of the Panthers because of it? After what you guys just went through with the Bills sale, no less. Grow up.

Why shouldn't that team be in Quebec , Where fans come to the games . People appreciate an NHL team.

The real problem in that arena isn't that it's in Florida. It's that the team stinks far more often than it doesn't. If you put a perennial winner in that building, people would come to the games. "Come see a bunch of guys get their asses kicked night in and night out at a non-traditional sport" isn't a good marketing strategy anywhere in this country.

Fact is they have a good young team . They currently 8th in the east and well on their way with a good rebuild. Nobody said it had anything to do with building . It is the market . Take them to a market starving for an NHL team again . Quebec . These pathetic ticket sales are costing the whole league , revenue sharing and the salary cap.

Fact also is they're still losing more often than they're winning. If the team is being built properly, and starts winning, and it's still in Florida, people will come to the games, just like they filled their arena when the made the Stanley Cup Finals in 1995. It's simply a matter of "don't just tell me, show me".

What part about rebuilding successfully don't you understand ? They are going to be a force to be reckoned with . They have drafted well and Tallon is building a good team. It magically does not happen overnight as we all know. That building was pathetic looking last night . I can understand a week night game against a weak team. But a weekend night ? I just do not understand why you feel why you have to make excuses for them.

I understand the rebuilding part just fine. I'm not disputing any of what Tallon is doing, but the point is that they aren't winning right now. Whether "he's doing it right" or not, there's no reason for people to go see them right now. They will start going if this team ends up as good as we all think it will be. The fact remains, this team has sucked for the better part of two decades, and they still suck right now.

Put it this way: say the Florida Panthers had traded draft positions with the Pittsburgh Penguins from, say, 2004 until 2008, and they were the team that ended up with Crosby and Malkin, won a Cup, had a team near the top of the league, even considering all their playoff struggles, do you think that building would be as empty as it was last night? No, it absolutely would not. It would probably have been sold out. People go to games to see winners, especially in places where the tradition isn't that strong.

I'm not making excuses for anybody. I'm not even saying that they should or shouldn't be moved (I actually think they will be sooner rather than later), but I also think that putting a piss poor product in a brand new market for the better part of 20 years and then throwing your arms up and saying "see, it doesn't work in this market" shows an absolutely mind-boggling lack of business understanding. It's not that the market sucks. It's that the product does.

Pretend I'm from Buffalo? Lol, I grew up in East Aurora and lived there for 25 years with season tickets my whole life. But I guess since you've never seen me post before, I must not actually be from Buffalo
We all have our own opinions, you think it was offensive, I don't. People need to grow thicker skin.

I see that the video also shows the Panthers mascot fishing... which I'm sure he's gotten pretty good at over the years, as they continue to miss the playoffs quite often themselves.
