I feel like the bills are a cautionary tale to the sabres. Even after making the big signing a while ago (mario williams) and making the draft day trade for watkins the glaring flaw on this team at the most important position is weighing them down.

I mean even if they had the 1st rounder this year would they have been bad enough to have a shot at a guy like Mariota? It hurts too cuz everywhere else at the very least looks respectable (defence is probably one of the best isn't it?)

It's why the tank is strong in me this year with the sabres. I hate having to hope on guys. I just want a guy who i know will step in and do great things (yes i know there are no sure things but I'd rather 90% chance that 30 or 40).

Doesn't matter what this really signifies. The D can't pitch a shut out every week. Until the Bills get an offense that can move in the red zone, we're gonna have trouble.

You need a winning product to start building a loyal and stable fanbase. You get people interested by winning, not by wallowing in ineptitude for 90 percent of the franchise's existence. Of course they can't be a perennial Cup contender all the time, but they can reasonably be much, much closer to it than they have been. They haven't even been mediocre. They've been downright awful, just like Atlanta and Phoenix.

Im not a fan either but if i pick one id go eli. Dont think we'll be able to take advantage of this stellar defense waiting for a young qb.

Schmidts been pretty good all year minus this game and possibly another I'm forgetting. While i was a supporter of orton in the beginning, I think its time to give ej the reigns. That offense is in need of someone who can escape the pocket once and a while.
