The only teams that benefit from a Chris Stewart trade are the ones that unload him onto someone else.
Is there a team still out there dumb enough to trade for him? - bcallaway
He did pretty damn well when he first got to St.Louis no? What are his strenghts and the problems with his game and personality? |

His strengths is his fighting ofcourse, he's big and plays big and he's a great teammate. His weaknesses is that he is not good at reading and being ahead of the play, he won't create any goals by a nice pass or a good deeke and really won't score outside of 10 feet from net. |

He has size and speed and great hands. Not good hands, great hands. A scorer's touch, that doesn't come along in a player of his size very often.
He has all the physical tools you could ask for to be one of the premier power forwards in the league.
And he's worthless. He floats and disappears for long stretches of time.
You can healthy-scratch him and he'll come back and say all the right things, "message received". And he won't change one thing about his game.
He's a gifted, lazy player. The worst combination. |

He's the type of player that the play has to come to him. He's a passenger. That's why there's stretches where he dissapears. thats his comfort zone and that's what got him success. |

Don't you think he could do a decent job playing alongside Kunitz and Malkin? All he NEEDS to do is protect them and cause havoc in front of the net to bang some Dirty goals.
I'm sold on giving him a try If the price is Low. |

Success is certainly a generous word.
He's about to be on his third team in less than 12 months.

I mean success because he's making millions in the NHL. for a big guy he's surprisingly a fast skater. He's just too big to do it for longer than a burst. The bigger you are the more oxygen your muscles need. That's why it appears like he floats. Some players are at a size where they can skate and they are never really out of the play. Chris Stewart is just too muscle bound. The play has to come to him. From the way he conducts himself on the ice and with his interviews I don't think he's a lazy person. |

His Junior carreer numbers says he can put the puck in the net just fine. Him with Geno/Kunitz could be good. What's his price tag? |
