Yep. I don't doubt it.
Honestly it's kind of weird to not be just straight up outbid on every major free agent by the Yankees. - BINGO!
Jr. is more concerned with making his "money" then he is winning, if SR. was still alive no way they wouldn't get who they wanted. |

I think we all knew it would happen eventually, but it's still rather shocking to see the other teams in the division throwing money around (well, except the Rays) and the Yankees going "Eh, that's too much money." |

But they were okay with giving Andrew Miller 36 mil over 4 years.
I still think they spend big when all is said and done. Scherzer's my best guess. |

I think both are playing well considering but Murray should srart to figure out the goalie of the future soon. - SABRES 89
Based on what he's said before, I would think that Enroth is the one he tries to move since he likes bigger goalies and Enroth is the smallest one in the league. I like what I've seen from both so far, but I do have a bit more attachment to Enroth because we drafted him and brought him up through the system. It's gonna stink to see either one of them moved with how they've both played so far. |

Should have gave it to Robertson not Miller. |

Murray needs to start "forming" this team now even though we are in rebuild, it should start now. They both are playing good |

I'm more biased towards Enroth (as a fan of his), but if Murray trades him, all I can hope is that the return is decent enough. It's his team, gotta trust him. Until I see a big screwup (trading of Enroth or Neuvirth would not warrant too much hate in regards to any kind of "big mistake"), I have no issues with his moves. |

That top 5 is un believable. But you're right far too many ifs with the pitching right now. Last i heard the jays were actually willing to break their 5 year rule for lester, but apparently the dollars are just crazy now.
I'll be curious to see who they target next, imo should be a starter especially after moving Happ. Fill the bullpen out later via FA and Navarro trade. - Sabresfan-365
I think they keep Navarro to DH, kind of fill Linds roll
1 starting pitcher
1 closer
1 short reliever
1 second baseman
that is who the Jays should be targeting right now |

if he goes with a 2 goalie system, ride the hot hand, there is no need to move either goalie short term
just lock them up |

IMO they still need a minute eating d man
a few faster wingers that can pop in 20 goals a year
I still say they need to get one player that is not afraid to get dirty on each line
girgens fills it on the second line
if they kept stewart, he would fill it on the third line, long term I think it's lemieux
screw it over pay for ror (I kid) |

See everything i've been told (no sources just from the guys who are connected in media) is that they're going to have Encarnacion fill that role so that he spends less time on the the turf.
It sounds like they're content at least short term with goins at 2nd (though id bet big on that being the position they upgrade on deadline day).
They discussed the trade for the KC relieve but if the price is Norris you walk away all day. |

The problem is that there's a 3rd goalie that they'll have available to them before the season is over. Hackett is due back by January I believe. They can send him to Rochester on a conditioning stint (two weeks I believe) but then they have to figure out what they're going to do. It's not very realistic to keep 3 goalies around. There's just not enough playing time for them. |

I do not think Hackett will be any better then Leggio
I would not be surprised if they let him walk, or keep 3 goalies with the big club to give him one last shot |

he was so so before the injury... i bet they send him to roch for a training stint and see how things go.. if he sucks they just leave him there or send him to the ECHL then walk away after his contract is up.. if he is decent they bring him back and try to trade one of the three for something in the range of a conditional 8th rounder to some middle prospect |

THE SABRES OBSERVER (KUKLA’S KORNER): Dave Davis cites TSN’s Pierre LeBrun claiming the Sabres are “really eager” to trade winger Chris Stewart sooner rather than later. LeBrun claims the Bruins and Senators are among those who’ve expressed interest in Stewart.

@CraigCustance
Sabres haven't gotten any trade calls yet on their goalies but Murray keeping that option open as well.
@CraigCustance
He hasn't yet, but Tim Murray nearing point where he'll reach out to agents of both Neuvirth & Enroth to get a feel for contract talks.
I gather your suspicion on him making a decision on the direction by christmas freeze is correct. - Sabresfan-365
I would trade them both at the deadline both won't be back IMO |

Letting him walk is an option after the season, but not in the middle of a year. Yes, they could waive him and send him to Rochester for the rest of the season. It's possible he could get claimed. But if he doesn't, now you have a logjam in goal there. While Lieuwen and Makarov have struggled (Lieuwen moreso), you have something invested in each one of these guys. They're all guys that have been in the system for a bit. We gave up Pominville for Hackett and Larsson. I'm not so sure Larsson will really make much of an impact at the NHL level, so I don't want to just give up on Hackett yet either. |

You're misinterpreting what people say when they mention our great prospects. The majority of them are still in Jr or College. There are about 5 in Rochester and the rest of the roster are just career AHLers.
Pysyk
McCabe
Armia
Girgorenko
Makarov
Those are the guys that will end up in the NHL. |
