More scratches to come I'm sure. It rubbed me the wrong way Nick Shultz was unable to hit the net. Del Zotto worrying a little too much about offense. MacDonald unable to stabilize much from the point in the offensive zone. I just felt the puck was too easily able to leave the zone. I don't care which but one of Read or Umberger have got to sit. - SuperSchennBros
if he scratches laughton he needs to get piss tested |

it's a (frank)ing disgrace.
i'd scratch umberger and read next game and keep vinny out too. - hammarby31
There is no way RJ should be playing next game. Read could use some press box time as well.
I heard a Calgary Flames radio guy this morning and he stressed that Bob Hartley makes his players " Earn their ice time" and that is one of the reasons for their early season success.
Wish our coach did that. |

Defense 101. - 77rams
I know that. You know that. The kid plying atom knows that. The guy getting paid $5mm per year for the next 6 years, to play defense, apparently don't know that |

They left the slightly improved Umberger in California, but I'd definitely scratch Read for a game or two. He's been horrible. |

They've made suggestions during the broadcast that he's been dealing with some foot injuries most of the season. If so, they should really think about sitting him and letting it heal |

Hey, I'm Joe Russomanno. I want to trade away a 22 year old who's having a bad season on a terrible team so I can fondle my Richard with Ed Snider over having a franchise D man, because that will really turn things around. - feelingkettle
Wait, who wouldn't trade Coots for a franchise D man? I mean, we're talking Weber, Doughty, Hedman, Karlsson, maybe younger guys like Ekblad, Seth Jones...I'd trade Coots for any one of them without thinking twice... |

I think July is a good target date for getting off the IR. We don't want to rush anything with that foot injury. Do it right the first time. |

Can't be scared to scratch Read with how he's played all season -- I give him credit for his zone starts, because he is right there with Couturier, but Read's not passing the eye test far too often this season
I don't expect him to be extremely physical, don't expect him to score 30 goals
I did kinda expect him to score 20 goals and at least look dangerous off the rush and on counterattacks, and be a strong penalty killer and two-way player
That guy's shown up for maybe three games this season

That's exactly what I said when I heard her speak. Kinda like a she-dude whose meds haven't quite gotten the voice hormones right yet.

i love read, and im sure i do make justifications for him, and they do have some merit. but i do think thats the best way to put it. he really hasnt been passing the eye test on a lot of occasions. |

I love Coots but as the key piece to getting a franchise D man on the right side of 30... that is a move I make all day.
Unforunately it probably takes at least one 1st rounder along with Coots to get that kind of deal done. |

The problem is, if they scratched everyone that deserves it, they might not be able to fill out two lines. |
