How can some say he is not a good dman. Just cause he isnt putting 40-50 points dosent mean anything. Our top player this year prolly wont crack 50, so how do u expect a dman to top 40. He is playing over 25 mins a game and is only -6 that is pretty darn good for a sabre. He is also 6'8'' and only 24. Good luck finding someone with his potential, age, and size. Look at other big men and how long it took them to develop.

He's playing for the yotes... if a true cup contender wants to trade for him, I'm sure he'd move in a heart beat. Especially for an up and coming team like Calgary. He grew up in Alberta so I'm sure he wouldn't mind spending his last few years for a blossoming hometown team. Buuuut he's also played for the same franchise his whole 18 year career... If the rumors are true-- what will Doan choose... Loyalty, or him wanting to win.

I've always like Doan. Great character kinda player, fairly consistent in that he always seems to get at least 55+ points a season. Around 22,23+ goals. And as mentioned before, he's stayed loyal to the franchise that drafted him. Phoenix has never been known as perennial winners and he's stuck through it. I think that's really admirable.

Even if its true, we ars showing 50x more progress in year 2 of our rebuild than your team has shown in 8 years. Regression may be a forgone conclusion but we are obviously on the right track.
