The one really good thing he did was keeping the Sedins, Edler and Schneider where a large majority of fans in Vancouver wanted Brad Richards and/or Olli Jokinen back in Luongo's first year here. I remember there was a poll on CDC back then about it and I recall at least 50% of fans wanted to trade some sort of package of those guys for one of Richards/Jokinen.

Gas under $1 a litre. Who'd thought we'd ever see that again. Time for Lefty to take a pay cut to make sure this continues

I still don't think he's a good GM. Just saying that his conservative nature did pay off somewhat. A lot of the moves he made were pretty bad, and yes I think he's always going to be remembered for picking White when the majority wanted Perron.
