It's not even the defense. It's the goaltending. And while we're still under 2 goals per game, that's mostly because they were so bad offensively the first month and a half of the season. Getting shut out in 4 out of 10 games or something like that is going to skew the numbers for quite a while unless you start scoring 10 a game.
