How many does Chicago have? Between the two clubs, they've won a bunch of Cups recently.

He's one of the few guys that if they just walk away at the end of the year, I won't care. Meszaros, Stewart, and Staff all have some value to them. While they're not all going to get 1st round picks, there is some value there. I think I would give someone a 3rd rounder to take him at this point.

i doubt any get 1sts......2nd at best for Stewart, maybe a prospect.....Stafford probably less then that.....Meszaros will have value at the deadline Playoff experienced Dmen always fetch a decent Premium as rentals ........i still have a feeling they move a Goalie...not sure which but both will not be back next year

Well cherry does have a point. LA, Boston, Chicago core group of talent is mostly Canadian with Americans and Europeans as the complimentary talent. The sabres roster has had the most American players on it for the past 5 years and we all know where that ship headed.

Paul Hamilton was talking about the goalie situation earlier. I'm assuming you heard it. It's going to be interesting what they do once Hackett is back. But they have probably about a month to worry about that anyway. I don't think he's expected back into game shape until January and then he'll get 2 weeks in the AHL.

He's put this team on his back and elevated them out of the basement (granted it's only about 1 floor over). I think it's sad that people like you feel the need to just look at the stats and make a determination of whether or not he should be able to go.

i didnt hear it, it was on but work was too busy for me to pay much attn. 2nd half of the year they will want to get a look at Hackett to see if he is worth keeping around as he's an RFA again, of if they should move one...... they need to use this time to make a Decision on the two Vet's both are UFAs i would imagine they only envision keeping one.

Don't get me wrong, I was shocked about the votes that he was receiving about 2 weeks ago. I think he's probably the guy from the Sabres that should get to go, but I didn't think it would happen because of the fan vote.

It's kind of great to see a whole nation get behind their guy though. He's practically a hero over in Latvia right now.

Well, he basically said that neither Enroth or Neuvirth have any value right now. Both have had some good stretches, but also have both had some awful stretches this year. No team is going to give up some sort of asset for a guy that's not actually going to be an upgrade from who they currently have.

While i would love for him to score more goals....his Hard work, Hustle, tough Play, Humble team first attitude and burgeoning leadership are All Star caliber....eventually the points will come, and hes still only 20.
