Let's just say that more of these rings have already been ordered...

Keep it quiet for now.

they could at least make the logo correct. the bottom win is midgetized, and the center circle...jfc, can't anything be done the right way?

I don't think it would be though.. it's what they've been doing, only more deliberately.. lol Just file it under the excuse "trying to shake things up to get the team going"..

Sixers.. yeahhhhh.. that's a different story.. haha I can't believe they're even being so transparent about it..

- WarriorHockey21

Apparently, the team didn't plan on drafting Embiid and Saric this season. The original plan was to take Wiggins and Stauskas. When Embiid got hurt, it forced them into a position of taking a guy with huge upside or a player like Ennis who may develop into a decent point guard. Then, Saric signed with a team overseas and his draft stock fell as well. The Sixers tried to trade up and grab Stauskas at No. 8, but the Wolves decided against it at the last moment. Saric was the best player on the board and it allowed them to even trade down and recoup their lost future first rounder.

I wouldn't have tanked to the extreme like the Sixers. How much can players learn when they aren't playing with any veterans to help guide them? However, they are all on board with the plan from the owners to the management to the coaching staff. The coaching staff even encourages the players to work on their weaknesses during games. Thats why MCW takes lots of threes when he can't shoot or Noel posts up when he doesn't have many post moves.

I feel the Flyers can learn a thing or two from the way the Sixers have done things. The Flyers already have some stud players, so they won't need to go through the same kind of downswing. I would like to see the team get creative and look to move players for future assets and allow the young players to work on their games without worrying about making mistakes

Over-the-top, gaudy, unwearable, future pawn shop property sports championship ring making has come a long way since the mid-70's. I'm sure the Flyers 2046 rings will be far superior to that one.

So Sean Couturier should be working on his spin-o-rama moves 50 times a game and Scott Laughton should practice using his butt to shield the puck a la Jagr/Voracek when no one's around him? Or do you want the team to work on their in-zone passing whenever they have the puck?

This is a game that moves at a much faster speed than basketball. I guess a player like Voracek could just dump the puck in every time he has it past the red line and then work on getting himself into good defensive positioning and Niklas Grossmann can work on his stickhandling/skating skills by attempting end-to-end rushes every time he gets the puck.

i'm not giving them any real credit for stolarz. he jumped ship from college, and was only there a brief time, but i get your point, ad i agree. it's a bit of a factory.

I'd funnel the puck through Grossmann on the PP. Let him be the QB from the point.

I'd like to see Couturier given more balanced zone starts and let the chips fall as they may. I'd like to see Laughton given more ice time. I'd like to see the young guys in the AHL be brought up towards the end of the year and given ample ice time. I'd like to see the coaches encourage creativity and not get on the players for every mistake. Just tell them to have fun and play hard. Basically, allow for a full evaluation of the young guys.

Brotha, please. By that point, one of us will be suffering from dementia brought on by the Flyers collapse in the 2028 Stanley Cup Finals against the upstarts expansion Kansas City Bullfrogs, and the internet will cease to exist one Skynet takes over in the spring on 2032.

In a perfect world, Grossmann would be traded for a pick. Working on things is meant more for the younger players.

Edit: I think the coaching staff has made things difficult on the players and have created a horrible working environment. Thats just my opinion.

I expect a 7000% improvement of the Flyers PP under this approach. That's right, a Grossmann-led PP will operate at a 1638%. It will finish a distant second to Pittsburgh.

Nevermind. My idea is horrible. Let's keep the status quo. It's important we keep giving Couts poopty linemates against tough competition. It will toughen him up and make him better. Confidence is bullpoop. It means nothing in sports.

Berube is doing a great job with this group. Pulling all the right strings. It's really just bad luck so far. They consistently lose the possession battle 60-40% every night, but that poop means nothing. They just need to drink more energy drinks, which will help them play harder. In fact, let's just lace their Gatorade with cocaine.

We don't need changes to this team. We can just wait things out. Let's wait for the contracts to expire, let's let Berube coach out the rest of the season. So what if this roster is entirely on the books for next season. Those things can't be changed.

This is the same team that beat LA in LA. No changes necessary. They just need to play up to their potential, which CUP CALIBER HOCKEY!!!!! (frank) YEAH!!! LETS WIN THE CUP THIS YEAR!!! Let's get more big players. Bigger is always better. Thats why I (frank)ing love a big woman!!!!

right now that powerplay consists of crosby and malkin passing it back and forth to each other. while downie and adams look for offensive zone stick penalties to take so they can showcase their speed on some open ice hockey rather than be bogged down in the offensive zone.

Yeah, I've taken some hits for being so negative this season. I never want them to lose games but this team was built to fail. I hated the Hartnell trade and their UFA signings told me all I needed. When they abruptly demoted the kids I knew it was a done year. When you don't even have competition for jobs on a bad team something's going on.

if you could only keep one heading into the future, but you had to pick right now.

would you keep embiid or noel?

Embiid. Noel might become an alright offensive player and elite defender.

If the Sixers win the lottery and you asked me Okafor or Embiid I wouldn't be sure.

Agreed on Embiid. In terms of potential, he's got the ability to be a force on both ends of the court. Like you said, Noel can be real good defensively but I don't see him ever being a beast offensively.

Did you hear that one of KJ McDaniels' blocked shots resulted in a fan getting a concussion?
