I think Bracco played well in the prospects game, if I recall reading something about him. He's a bit too small for my tastes but you are right, he could slip a bit later in the 1st rd. - mhp
Patty Kane size... 5'9/170 at 17. Wondering if he'll get an extra inch or 2.
He has 1 less than point (12-22-44) than Austin Matthews (20-25-45) for the NTDP who is projected to go #1 next year |

I regret to inform you that I will be leaving the hockeybuzz community for quite some time. I realize I do not post here too often due to my schedule but I thought i would give this information so no one is guessing my whereabouts. You can expect me back some time in September of 2016. In my absence, I wish the best of health to all. Going to miss watching my team play. Go Sabres!!!! - gerbe42
Keep your head down, brother.
Come back healthy. |

Can't wait till people finally get a chance to watch kylington at the world juniors. There was a time last year where i wanted us to take him over Hanifin and eichel. (mind you i hadn't seen either of those guys play beyond 1 world junior game)
That being said, I still see them as a 1-2 pick at the draft. There was a time where we were so far ahead nothing mattered anymore. With so many games left i bet we'll hit last, go up and then hit rock bottom again before seasons end. The "race" at the bottom is just as interesting this year as the one for 8th. - Sabresfan-365
Thats crazy talk!
I thought Eichel was leaps and bounds better than McDavid at last years WJC as an underager. Eichel was the catalyst for USA where McDavid really had no important role. Not discounting McDavid at all, just speaking about the emergence of Eichel. Kind of wish he was born in NY or MI so he couldve played in the O to rival McDavid. But what hes doing in the NCAA is quite impressive too. |

I hadn't seen the other two play so i was basing off just liking the player overall and not knowing who those two really were.
Eichel v McDavid would have been great for the OHL, I'll settle for world juniors. |

I think the fact that Eichel didn't go to the OHL makes the World Juniors that much more interesting. This is now THE marquee event in which we will see the two go head to head, at least until they are in the NHL. |

Good time to host it in Toronto/Montreal. Could you imagine if they decided to put this in europe? |

The only thing that sucked about the US and Canada playing in the championship in 2010 is that it meant no New Year's Eve showdown in Buffalo in 2011. Those New Years Eve games are almost always epic...despite the fact that Canada wins Every. (frank)ing. Time. |

If you combined the New Year's Eve game and the Championship game in 2010, the US had to have had the lead for at least 80% of game time combined. They choked it away twice in the last minutes. Thankfully, John Carlson made it not matter in the championship game, but it's games like that, where the US either has the better team (on paper), or simply outplays them and finds a way to lose (see last year's game as well), that makes you realize Canada still has the US's number, despite winning championships in 2010 and 2013. |

Canada's lack of success recently has drummed up the thought that canada's playing politics with their selections. Even if that's true, they seem to put forth a roster that should be competing for gold (politics or not). Leads me to believe that either their decline in goaltending or poor coaching is too blame.
On a separate note, I know it probably motivates them, but i gather it must be a bit disappointing for the US players to know that no matter where they play, as long as they're playing canada they're the away team. |

Fucale's game versus last year the US is the first time I've seen Canada have the undisputed better goaltender in a big game during the World Juniors in a long, long time. |

Cycles. Both teams have a long way to go. Don't be surprised to see the opposite happen in a month, where Rochester goes in a run, and Buffalo hits another big slump. |

They may regret not picking Tristan Jarry for this tournament. On the other hand, i suppose you could argue they haven't had a player as dominant as McDavid since Tavares, which would be the last time they won gold. |

I'm amazed the players left off by Canada.
Two potential top 5-6 picks a stud goalie and Ho-Sang.
Subban doesn't surprise me as much as the others.
I wonder if they don't like big personalities during a short tourney |

Wrong. Come on now, you're smarter than that.
One word.
McEichel.
YOU know, Generational Talent.
You don't trade for it, you have to suffer through to get it.
Tell me how Ted, Terry and Tim are going to sell three seasons of Sh!ting the bed and coming away with the 25th pick? - IonSabres
You're missing my point, it's time for Murray to make deals and start putting us in a position to get the best spot in the draft without "tanking" Blame Pegula for some of this, we would be farther along if he canned Darcy and Lindy from the start. Murray can't make this last another 3 years rebuilding, there comes a time when you say enough is enough with picks we need players not more picks that will take another 4 years to develop. |

I can't see the Sens parting with two of their prospects for Stewart, especially when they're out of the playoff hunt. - mhp
That was the offer from the Sabres when we got him last year, Hoffman and Stone for Stewart. Not saying that is being talked about now, but it was before. |
