I'd imagine an example will be made of him.

Paul Hamilton this manana
- No problem trading Myers, no problem keeping him. A couple years from now Risto and Zad are top pair, Myers at best would be 2nd pair. Which would be ok. Good players should make their team and teammates better. Howard asked how often does Myers make others better (they were talking about Boychuk and what he's done for the Isles)? GMTM told Mr. Paul Hamilton that Myers isn't really that guy who will make others better, he's more of a guy that if he's paired with the right guy he'll play well.

GMTM is a Myers "hater" so is Paul Hamilton and Howard Simon. - GilPerreault11
They think Boychuck has made the Isles better single handedly??....
Yeah, sorry but Boychuck does not make the Isles players better. |

I didn't listen to it just read the summary which is always provided by the site owner very well but I don't think they meant Boychuck single handedly made them better but made a difference. |

i cant take credit for this. it was on hockey futures board, from the hockey news. brass tacks- it says murray wanted larkin, jurco/sheahan, and a first.
i cant imagine murray hates myers. he has been awfully good. he probably sees him as the best player from the previous regime that can be used to build HIS team. my apologies for beating this dead horse. |

I was more interested in the part where GMTM told Paul Hamilton that"Myers isn't really that guy who will make others better, he's more of a guy that if he's paired with the right guy he'll play well" which is what a few of us have have said. |

Murray is on record saying "Myers is not the next big thing" and that his rookie year set unrealistic expectations. Murray sees him as a complimentary player and not a franchise guy |

Don't think of it as beating a dead horse.. Think of it as tenderizing it . That's been one tough horse. |

Sure and that could be the case.
All I know is he's playing incredibly well now, and 19 year olds aren't guarantees.
I love Risto, but I don't know how in gods name they can be sure that Zadorov is a top pairing defensemen at 19 with less than 30 games under his belt.
Remember Myers at 19? He was twice the player Zadorov is |

I was being sarcastic and using a certain Hb poster's lingo whenever Myers is critiqued. GMTM doesn't hate Myers but he also sees flaws in his game if what P. Hamilton said is true. |

IDK either but IMO he might be at the fact that Hanifin or Kylington are the more likely draft choices and is trying to get the max return. He waits and he gets less as teams know he needs/wants to move a defenseman? |

My point is Gus is the teams current best player IMO.
Every team has misses and many of those teams had made poorer draft picks than Darcy did. I know surprising but true. |
