IDK either but IMO he might be at the fact that Hanifin or Kylington are the more likely draft choices and is trying to get the max return. He waits and he gets less as teams know he needs/wants to move a defenseman?

If he said Meyers isn't the type to make others around him better, I then take that as he feels Myers isn't a franchise guy either.

What I find suspect, is that if Murray is truly trying to trade Myers, why talk him down as a 2nd pairing defensemen? Doesn't exactly put you in a prime selling position to max his value.

Yeah I had heard stories growing up about them being here for a while. Only reason I knew about it. Thought it was a more common known tid bit of Buffalo history.

I miss it in small amounts....not dealing with it for months on end. I usually go see the Sabres when they play in San Jose and it just feels weird to be warm and walking down a street lined with palm trees.
I'll get to see the Islanders game in B-low on the 27th, so save some snow for me.

Paul Hamilton called him a second pairing based on how well Zads/Risto are playing. Murray's comment was just that Meyers doesn't make his D partner better. But rather Meyers plays his best with the right D partner. I don't think Murray ever mentioned where he slotted in Number-wise with the Defense.

While I think this is a dumb statement by Hamilton, that makes more sense
