yesterday I was about to get on the ice then had t go check something out.
put on my skate guards, on my way there someone told me it was ok and never mind.
ran back to the ice, forgot to take them off. - dt99999

Who the (frank) walks on cement with skates?
EDIT: maybe it's function of the arenas I go to...but I've never had to walk on cement...and I've only played hockey for the past 25 years.

Here, just about everyone wears them. Most of them remove them prior to get on the ice. |

They are the soft ones. I put them on when I take my skates off and throw them in my bag. |

Depends on the rink - some rinks will lay some rubber-like floor poop around the rink on top of the cement and you don't have to wear skate guards going out of the dressing room |

One of the ones I have been to didn't lay the rubber around the whole rink to the guest/visitor team bench - depends on the rink |
